Three Weeks Later...
As the weeks progressed, a lot of things did happen. Breakdown, Bumblebee and Bulkhead recovered from their tox-en exposure as it wasn't severe enough to warrant a lot of medical attention. It did take about a week for them to recover, and that was totally okay. Having them back in top, fighting shape was the best thing that could happen. At the same time, the synthetic energon has finally been given the all clear for ingestion. All the autobots and decepticons have been drinking it, and the effects have proven all good. Knockout and Ratchet just had to grow energon crystals, and they were so close now.
The new space bridge had finally been completed. Megatron was thrilled and he began sending Dreadwing and Starscream to Cybertron to retrieve weapons that they could use against Mech, and any technology that they could find. Saphira was really happy about this, as she had remained constantly worried and fearful each day.
It did get better, and she began to eat properly again. Ratchet knew that it wouldn't last and that she would return to eating the food she should. He was right, and she was grateful for everyone's patience. Saphira had even started requesting food at midnight, usually after a nightmare as those have not stopped. The mechs began making sure they had something to give her when she wakes up, and she was often happy, or asked for something else.
Her cravings for mangoes did not subside. She began wanting mango ice cream, mango smoothies and mangoes in fruit salad. It meant that they had to source the fruit. And while Fowler was not too happy, he allowed the bots to get the fruit from Australia. According to Saphira, they were the best mangoes and when she wanted fresh mangoes, those were what she wanted.
She was happy that Silas didn't strike the base after the two weeks he had given them, and there was one week before Christmas. Saphira had resumed her plans for Christmas with Starscream. She introduced the bots and cons to Home Alone and The Santa Claus, which they all loved. Knockout and Breakdown loved Home Alone, it was their favorite movie. Optimus found he liked The Santa Claus more, given the story. Saphira wanted to also have them watch the Grinch, but decided to wait for Christmas Eve for that one.
Though despite that Mech hasn't attacked yet, Saphira still could not shake a bad feeling that has been growing for a few days. Especially as Megatron's ship was taking longer to repair than first thought. It wasn't that good, but it was being repaired and that was progress. The Harbinger was now fully operational. It can't fly, but it has become an external lab and potential second base if they need to flee to it.
Saphira was also still dreaming of a White Christmas, she didn't know that Starscream, Knockout, Breakdown and Wheeljack were working on something to surprise her with. Smokescreen learned about the plan, and wanted to take part in it.
Saphira was currently on a recliner with her feet up with Megatron rubbing her feet. She was facing away from the TV, but she didn't mind at all. She wanted her feet rubbed. Especially with how big she was now. The sparklings had grown a lot. They were not too active thankfully, as Saphira did worry if they would ever kick up a storm. So far, they have not. In fact, they were the reason why she would wake up in the middle of the night now. Not just the nightmares. It seemed they knew when she was having a nightmare and would wake her up. She was grateful for that.
Optimus was almost finished the next Iacon relic coordinates, so he was busy at the console. Saphira took a deep breath, feeling exhausted even though it was only the morning. She glanced at Starscream who was chatting with Knockout quietly. She was curious about what they were talking about. "Do you feel any better?" Megatron asked curiously with a gentle smile.
Saphira looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "Interesting way to ask if you can stop yet." The silver mech rolled his optics and chuckled lightly at her response. She took a deep breath and nodded. "I guess I am...I am just tired and my whole body just aches..." She glanced at Ratchet who was working nearby. "Do you really think I will be pregnant for twelves months?" The medic looked at her and smiled kindly. "I'm over five months and I already want it to end."
