Her heart was racing as she walked briskly through the trees. She had one hand on her stomach as she walked. She had a determination to get away from Silas's new bot as far as possible. She hoped that Optimus was closer than he said he was. She needed to be with him right now. All she could think about was staying close to her sparkmates and never complaining about her clothes again.

'Megatron.' Saphira had been trying to reach out to him as she walked through the snow. 'Megatron, are you okay? Silas claimed he killed you, I know you are not dead. But I want to know if you are okay. Please respond...I need to know that you are alright.'

There was no response again and Saphira was getting more upset. She forced herself to not cry as best as she could. She knew once she gave into a bit of weakness, she might find herself in Mech's clutches. She had so many things going through her mind. And as night slowly settled in with the storm still raging above, Saphira knew she had to find somewhere to hide.

The fog had finally lifted as she kept walking, so seeing was a bit easier. And the lightning flashing above helped guide her way through the forest as well. It wasn't horrible, but the temperature was dropping and she had stopped feeling her toes. She was sure she would lose feeling in her feet soon as well, though she wasn't sure and hoped it would not happen.

'Optimus, I am afraid I have bad news...' She was very upset that she had to tell Optimus this.

'What is it? I have lost Megatron's signal, was he able to find you?' Optimus sounded worried as soon as he heard Saphira speak to him.

'I think he was shot down. Mech has a new bot that can transform into multiple vehicular modes, and it looks a bit like Megatron. Silas is controlling it, and used it to shoot Megatron down. I've tried reaching him, but he isn't responding...' Saphira glanced around, as if expecting to see Megatron nearby. 'Silas found the house before Megatron...and I'm sorry, but he's got Jack. I couldn't stay...Dreadwing was fighting Silas so I could escape...'

'Is Jack alive?'

'Yes...but he was knocked out by some kind of electric device...I don't know how far I am from the house, Optimus. It's getting colder and I can't feel my toes anymore...I don't know what to do...all I know is that I have to keep running...'

'Yes, you do. I am so sorry you are in this mess, Saphira. I really am.' Saphira felt tears fall from her eyes as she listened to his gentle voice. 'But I know you can keep going. Ratchet is with me, and he can look after you once we find you. We are not far now. If you can find shelter, do it. When you do, try and use the bond to help me locate you. I will do everything in my power to make you safe again.'

'I will do my best...'

'I know you will. I love you, and I will see you soon.'

Saphira really wanted to stop and just cry. She was overwhelmed with so many emotions, but she knew she had to keep going. Saphira would cry later once she found somewhere to hide and try to keep warm. She knew Optimus was worried that she was losing feeling to areas of her body. There was nothing they could do but wait.

Saphira continued to walk briskly until she had to slow her walk. Her legs were aching, and not just from the weight in her womb. The cold was soaking her legs to the point they were painfully cold. She did her best to stay warm. She wanted to not let herself freeze to death. That would be the last thing that would ever happen.

After fifteen minutes, she gasped as she almost took a few steps over the side of a cliff. That would not have been ideal. "Oh, Optimus...if only I could scream out...maybe you would hear me. But so would..." Saphira paused when she heard movement and she tensed, thinking she might have made a mistake.
