With Fowler's daughter in grave danger, this situation with Mech has really shown how far they are willing to go to get what they want. With no Optimus to assist them, everyone had to think about how to help him. Rafael was able to use the satellite's aim to figure out where the girl was, which made finding her a bit easier. But there was an issue of getting there before the satellite fires, and they all knew that perfectly well. Though the two that were ready to fire when ready, another satellite gets launched into orbit, most likely one to use against the Nemesis should they move around the moon.
Megatron tried spending as much time as he could with the sparklings as well. Mostly so he could be near Saphira so she could heal quicker than a human normally would after giving birth. He has learned how long it normally takes, and he didn't want her to be in pain. It also helped him to sympathise with Fowler. He would be as scared and angry as he is right now if one of his sparklings was taken. And that was still a possibility with how persistant Mech was about obtaining them.
Calytrix and Stellaxy eventually settled after Ratchet and Knockout were able to figure out a formula for them to take and Megatron had the joy of feeding both of them, and they both were extremely hungry with how they clamped onto the bottles with their claws. They were extremely cute. And to his surprise, Knockout worked out that as Saphira had been lactating, it was a sign she would have given birth during the tenth month. It was a surprise to Megatron and Ratchet, which meant the sparklings were not quite premature as they though they were.
But they still needed care because they were underweight, which explained their thin, transparent skin. Given their size, Ratchet believes they may not grow much more than Arcee, but Megatron was not concerned by that. He just wanted to them to be healthy. And they would be able to transform as well, as they both had t-cogs. Though he didn't really know how they could with the skin they had. That would be an issue to tackle in the future.
Four hours pass and they had not come up with a decent plan. With Saphira and the sparklings resting, everyone else were in the bridge. The children were listening in on the arguments that were in the bridge. Fowler himself was on the com link for this long trying to figure out a plan, along with working with his superiors as well. They all were coming up with a dead end, and time was ticking away.
Jack was making notes of every plan that they had come up with and trying to see if there was a way to make them all work. He tapped the end of the pen thoughtfully as he thought about all the possibilities. He looked up from his notebook, looking at Soundwave who was pretty much focused on the console and scanning for Optimus. "Soundwave, I know that you are focus on looking for Optimus at the moment. But I think I might have a way of rescuing Fowler's daughter, and destroying the satellites at the same time." Soundwave turned his head to look at Jack out of curiosity. "Mech is probably going to be scanning for anything that comes from the ship, which means we can't have a surprise attack on them. But...would the cloaking technology that Starscream had work on vehicon, or even a small ship?"
Shockwave, who had been standing nearby, turned to Jack as he spoke about his idea. "It is possible for the cloaking device to cover an entire ship and hide its signal. It worked with the drill that he used, so it is logical for it to work on something else."
"Alright...well...are there any smaller fighters on this ship?" Jack asked curiously. "We know they will be looking for bots and cons, not a small fighter."
"I do not believe there is any since Dreadwing lost his to Wheeljack," Shockwave responded thoughtfully. "Hmm...you might be onto something, Jack. The issue still does stand on how we infiltrate the base without the girl being killed, even without the satellites."
Jack nodded in agreement. "I know...but...given the location, surely we could bridge directly to it and prevent it happening. Without the satellites in orbit, we would have the element of surprise."
