Hidden Spark on Earth II (TFP)

Chapter 21

Optimus walked between the tanks cautiously, glancing around for any sign of Silas's machine. He did not know how strong this Nemesis Prime would be, but he expected it to be formidable as he wouldn't expect Silas to create something that would be considered weak in his eyes. Especially since the bot would likely be designed to take on any bot and con alike. None of the others have contacted him yet, and that could both be a good and bad sign.

He could faintly hear Megatron's jet above as well. He knew the decepticon was keeping a very close eye on the facility and searching for the base of Mech itself. Optimus did assume this could be one of many bases. He didn't know if there were more bases around the world, and if there were, and there were more robots that were designed after the bots, things could get very bad for then. Optimus hoped that they could at least shed a light on the real enemy behind the attack on the base so the military would remove the targets off their backs.

Optimus was also worried for Saphira. He knew Primus's warning to Saphira was indirectly letting her know she herself would be in danger. He did worry that Mech could have spied in Jasper watching Jack and the other children and June Darby now that they knew where the humans resided. And if there were spies in the town, they could easily know the vehicle models of each bot and follow them. Which made it possible that Mech could discover their base without their knowledge.

All these concerns could easily send Optimus's processor into overdrive. His need to protect Saphira and his sparkling was a very normal feeling. The instinct runs deep, and could never be removed. He also knew that even if they destroy Nemesis Prime, another could replace it and be an even greater threat than the original robot. This still depended on Sillas and what he wanted Mech to do with these robots. And he couldn't anticipate Silas's moves like he could Megatron's as they haven't been fighting Mech for very long. And Silas was using slightly different tactics to the ones Megatron has used.

Optimus glanced around again, he didn't see anything suspicious yet. He couldn't hear anything that would be a concern, but that didn't mean anything. He made a left around a tank and came face-to-face with the Nemesis Prime. He narrowed his optics immediately seeing the robot. "Optimus Prime, we meet again," Silas's voice spoke through the bot in a slightly mocking tone.

"The deception ends here, Silas," Optimus said sternly, his face plate covers his mouth as he prepared to fight the robot as he aimed his canon at the robot.

"Does it?" Silas challenged, again in a mocking tone.

The robot ran towards Optimus, dodging the canon blasts from Optimus while he drew out his own canon as well. Optimus didn't flinch, knowing this bot could potentially have the same strengths as himself, though that would remain to be seen. Once they were close enough, they both throw their fists at each other. Optimus grimaced feeling the impact of the fist on his chassis, though he managed to stand his ground.

He blocked a punch from Nemesis and hit him away from him. The robot ran back at him, punching him again in the chassis, sending Optimus backwards into a tank. Optimus grunts slightly upon impact and grabbed the other bot's hands to push it back from him. He kicked the robot away from him and armed himself with his sword. He raised his sword to strike Nemesis Prime, and when he struck the sword downward, he was blocked by Nemesis Prime with his own sword.

Optimus narrowed his optics at the robot and punched the bot's head, swiping his sword again and he was blocked again. Optimus felt his anger rising slightly, though he wouldn't allow it to cloud his judgement. He his kicked back and Optimus stumbled back slightly, blocking another attack from the Nemesis Prime and kicked him into a set of gas lines that explode upon impact. Optimus ran into the blast, grabbing Nemesis Prime's shoulders and throwing it into the ground and kicking the head.
