Hidden Spark on Earth II (TFP)

Chapter 53

Optimus and Megatron walk into the lobby with calm expressions. They saw that everyone was here, with Breakdown crying by Starscream's body and Fowler shouting something into his phone in a panic. Almost everyone had extremely worried expressions, and a few seemed to be fearful of whatever is happening. This was not the best thing to see after being with Saphira and seeing their sparklings being born, but they could see something was definitely wrong. Today seems to have gone from good to bad really quick.

Fowler glanced at the two mechs and approached them as he got off the phone. He smiled kindly at the two of them. "I am so sorry we had to pull you away from Saphira. I hope she is doing okay. But..." He glanced over his shoulder for a moment before looking back at them. "We have...a situation...I've just ordered the entire town of Jasper to be evacuated due to this reason."

Optimus was immediately glued in on what might be going on. "I can reassure everyone that Saphira has delivered both sparklings safely...Ratchet, Knockout and June are taking care of them as we speak." Fowler was very relieved to hear Saphira had delivered the sparklings. It had been just over two hours of waiting impatiently on their part, while watching Galvatron close in. "Why is Jasper being evacuated?"

"Because...uhhh..." Fowler glanced towards the others nervously before he gestured for Optimus and Megatron to follow. "Galvatron is in Nevada...and we detected a lot of new Mech bots...along with something else..."

"You sound like you're trying to make us worry, Fowler," Megatron said calmly as they approach the console. "So Galvatron is in Nevada..."

"Megatron..." Arcee interrupts gently as she listened to what he was saying to Fowler. "You need to take a look..." She gestured with her head to the screen. "Take a lot at what we are picking up. There is absolutely every reason to worry."

Optimus and Megatron look at the screen, and they both widen their optics upon seeing what their scanners were picking up. Surrounding the base and throughout the area of Jasper itself, was at least a hundred bot signals. It seemed they appeared to be waiting, and Galvatron's signal was among them. They knew where the base was, and they were here to collect Saphira and the sparklings.

"How is it possible they still have hundreds?!" Megatron hissed in disbelief. "We destroyed so many! How is it even possible that they still have hundreds?!" Megatron was in disbelief that Mech still had so many. "Were they hiding all of these bots?!"

"We are not sure," Wheeljack said in a grim tone, glaring at the screen angrily. "But it isn't the only thing they have done. Dreadwing just alerted us to two of Mech's satellites being launched from the planet. They were launched from Jasper here too."

"You mean the satellites that can literally locked onto and destroy a target with pinpoint accuracy?" Smokescreen asked nervously, and Wheeljack nodded. "Oh no...that's not good! W-W-What are we going to do?! Will we evacuate to the Nemesis?"

Optimus stared at the screen before glaring at it and turning away to head towards the missile lift. "If we must, we will. I will not risk any further lives. However..." He stopped and glanced back at Agent Fowler. "I will suggest that you and the children leave, Fowler. I do not think it is wise for them to remain here."

Fowler nodded affirmatively. "Very well. I will remain here for a bit longer while Jack, Miko and Raf go to the Nemesis." He glanced at Bumblebee and Breakdown. "I think you both should go with them. I know they are welcome on board, but they are not familiar with everyone on there. Plus..." He glanced at Starscream's body for a moment. "I think he deserves to be on there, not here."

Breakdown nodded as he picked up Starscream. "You are right, Fowler..." He glanced over the seeker's being thoughtfully. "I intend on repairing his body...in case we...we find some other way to bring him back that doesn't involve dark energon."
