Over the next week Saphira was able to spend time with Starscream three times and it has been really good. Starscream opened up a lot to her and she was really happy to listen to him. Especially since she spent time with him alone. She was moved when Starscream admitted that he put on a fierce, fearless warrior when he was actually terrified. It was somewhat unsurprising given he has put on a persona for so long, but it was good that he admitted.

It took a couple days before Saphira saw him become happier. Starscream was not as angry and upset, though she has caught him staring at the ceiling with a sad, discouraging expression. She didn't know what more could be going through his mind. But she knew that she and Starscream were building a good friendship. She didn't know how close they would be, but it was good.

Starscream was no longer in the med bay, and he was in a berth room right now. He had been given the okay from Megatron to rest more, which was strange and welcoming at the same time. Saphira was sitting on his shoulder as Starscream was looking through the human internet out of curiosity on a tablet.

"I see that humans like to use jets and put on a show," Starscream comments as he found pictures and videos of air shows. He watched with curiosity. "That actually looks like a lot of fun. It isn't something we have ever done."

"Considering your skill as a flyer, I think this would be perfect," Saphira said with a chuckle. "I know you want to stretch your wings, especially with the new t-cog." He nodded slowly with a hum. "I think you could put on a pretty good show for everyone when we get to the new year."

"Ah, yes, New Year's...I remember seeing something like that," Starscream said with a light chuckle. "You humans celebrate a new year every year...I think we used to, but I don't remember." He scrolled through the images and videos curiously. "It certainly looks like fun..."

"Before New Year's we have Christmas. You should look that up. That's coming in a month's time. Miko, Jack, Knockout, Wheeljack and I were planning some Christmas stuff, but Miko has to go back to Japan for Christmas. And Raf is still grounded, and likely to remain home for Christmas..." Saphira was a bit sad that the whole gang wouldn't be there, but it was understandable. "Agent Fowler won't be there either, he'll spend Christmas with his daughter. So, it is up to Jack, June, Knockout, Wheeljack and I to sort out Christmas...it is something I haven't done since...since I was five..."

Starscream turned his head to look at Saphira, seeing her sad expression. "Because of your mother?" She hitched her breath and nodded without looking at Starscream. He looked at the tablet and looked up Christmas, widening his optics when he saw many pictures. He scrolled through the pictures and smiled, liking what he saw. "It seems like the time of year where family get together, give gifts and celebrates."

"That is precisely what it is. Good food, a warmth hearth, family, tinsel, carols...snow in some places...I've never had a White Christmas before..." Saphira smiled as she thought about it, it was a dream that she always had.

"A White Christmas?"

She looked at Starscream. "A White Christmas simply refers to Christmas with snow. It's wonderful. And...it is a dream...sadly I don't think I'll ever experience one. My mother wished for it too...so I would want a White Christmas if only to make that dream come true for the both of us. And I know she would be happy."

Starscream listened to her quietly, processing it thoughtfully. "Isn't there a way we could bring you a White Christmas?"

She shrugged. "Unless there is somewhere safe in the world for us to go to and sit inside a cosy cabin by the fireplace...a tree dressed up in tinsel, bulbs and lights...a star at the very top...I am not so sure. The best we can do is fake snow...but..." She smiled at him and looked at the tablet, seeing the images of Christmas lights, snowmen and trees. "It isn't the same. This will probably also be the first year I've even celebrated Christmas in over ten years...at least, properly...after my mother died...I hated Christmas. I refused to participate...and then Laura came in, made a big deal about Christmas and never included me. I was actually okay with that until I turned ten, and realized I missed Christmas...and I was forced out everytime..."
