Chapter 17

When the autobots ran out of the vortex, they saw they were indeed at a shipyard. There were thousands of shipping containers here, and it was clear they were near civilisation. It was a good thing it was night in this part of the world, so they won't have too many eyes. But this was a very bad spot if something was to go seriously wrong.

"I have to wonder who pulled the trigger first," Arcee said thoughtfully as they walk into the maze of the containers. "If Bulk and Wheeljack were searching for vehicles for Wheeljack to scan, it could be that Dreadwing pounced on them first."

"We won't know until we speak to one of them." Optimus glanced around cautiously before activating his com link. "Bulkhead, Wheeljack, come in."

"You finally showed up!" Wheeljack quickly responded in an irritated voice. "The blasted Dreadwing got Bulkhead! He's here in this shipyard somewhere, I've been tracking his signal here."

"You were not the one who attacked Dreadwing first?" Optimus asked in a stern, yet curious tone.

"Nope. I did not." Wheeljack sounded a little annoyed to have an assumption that he started this fight. "I managed to get myself a vehicle mode, though. I think that is a win."

"Focus finding Bulkhead, Wheeljack," Arcee bit in irritation. "This is serious."

They glance behind them as a ground bridge opened and Megatron walked through. He looked angry as he glanced at Optimus. "Have you located Dreadwing?"

Optimus shook his head. "Not yet. We are in the process of locating Bulkhead. According to Wheeljack, it seems that Dreadwing attacked them while they were off base and brought Bulkhead here."

Megatron growled angrily. "I am thoroughly disappointed in him."

"Is that con seriously here?" Wheeljack asked in disbelief through the com link. "Should have just left this to us, Prime."

"This involves Megatron too, Wheeljack," Optimus responded bluntly, walking further into the maze too look around. "He can fly and will be able to locate Bulkhead faster."

"I would rather he did not, and just find Dreadwing instead."

Megatron huffed in amusement. "I would if we were not so close to human population." He walked ahead, looking around with his red optics. "I shall go this way, I know we will cover more ground with all of us split up."

"I honestly am surprised Megatron would care we are this close to human population," Wheeljack comments. "I am close to Bulkhead's position. I have no doubt I will see you guys shortly."

Wheeljack cuts the com link and Megatron walked away from Optimus, Breakdown and the bots. It certainly was a surprise to the wrecker that Optimus seemed okay with Megatron assisting them with Dreadwing. He didn't want the con leader here at all. Wheeljack couldn't exactly ask Megatron to leave without attempting to attack him himself. Nonetheless, Megatron's presence here will surely be needed with Dreadwing.

"Do you think Wheeljack is telling the truth regarding Dreadwing?" Breakdown asked curiously as he glanced around, looking for any sign of Bulkhead while Arcee held a scanner in her hand to find the green bot.

"Bulkhead will be the one to confirm those details, not Wheeljack or Dreadwing. I feel Dreadwing will tell us that it was Wheeljack who attacked him. But given that Dreadwing left Megatron's ship...it seems like it was indeed Dreadwing who attacked Wheeljack and Bulkhead, not the other way around." Optimus stopped by a corner of a container stack and stepped around it cautiously with his canons drawn and ready.

There was no other words spoken as they walk through the maze. They did not know where Bulkhead was aside from following his signal. They knew that Dreadwing was likely watching them from somewhere, and they had to be careful. They didn't know if Megatron will find the con first or not, but that didn't matter. It took a few moments before they heard familiar voices ahead of them and ran towards the voices before seeing Bulkhead against a constainer, his wrists were help by energy cuffs and a proximity bomb was on his chest.
