Hidden Spark on Earth II (TFP)

Chapter 76

Watching Saphira's body move and flinch as though she were awake is very unpleasant to watch. Optimus and Megatron both stare at her and try to reach through the bond in the hopes of being able to comfort Saphira as best as they can. They feel more pain in their bodies as though Saphira is being attacked, and it was very uncomfortable. Especially as Ratchet and Knockout were keeping a very close eye on Saphira.

They were able to monitor the spark matter, and watching the two different spark matters conflict with each other in a very violent way was hard to watch. Blood didn't stop streaming from her nose or eyes, and they had no idea how to stop it. Her body now had a fever and it was getting worse very quickly. They literally had no idea what to do. Saphira was at war with herself it would seem.

Optimus was silently praying to Primus that Saphira would be okay. He could feel her emotions as much as he could feel the pain that was being inflicted upon her. It was a mix of emotions that made him want to hug her. He wished that they could see exactly what she was seeing so they would understand, but they could not.

"How long must we watch this happen?" Megatron groaned with a sad expression. "I feel helpless!"

Ratchet looked at Megatron sadly and shook his head. "I do not know Megatron. I want this to end too. I know you feel helpless, so do I. I feel like I'm out of my league here, and it hurts." He looked back down at her and wipes away the fresh blood seeping from under her eyelids. "I want to stop this pain she's going through. Has Saphira told you anything about what has happened to her since facing Galvatron?" Both mechs shake their heads. "I do hope Saphira will stop keeping secrets. It feels like she's been doing that for a while. It's hurting her."

Optimus nodded in agreement. "I would have to agree that is what it seems, Ratchet. I know Saphira has been upset about the power of the silver energon in her. Alpha Trion told her that power is hers and I guess she's been trying to accept it or something else is happening."

Ratchet was aware of the story. Optimus had told him about it and the medic was surprised that this is something that Saphira has experienced. "Whatever the reason, I hope she will open up to us. You should be the only one who can help her, Optimus. The power in those crystals had the similar power to the Matrix, and Alpha Trion confirmed it to Saphira. Why did you not help her?"

Optimus looked down at Saphira with a guilty expression. "Because...she was scared. She was worried that by having that power we would love her more. I reassured her I didn't care about the power...and that she should stop seeing herself as an abomination."

"Hmm...almost sounds like old thoughts crept in her mind...but you didn't offer to help her understand what she has now, have you?" Optimus shook his head. Ratchet pressed his lips together and seemed disappointed. "Whether it was your intention or not, Saphira's faced this on her own. She shouldn't need to. Related or not to Cybertronians, Saphira is still a human. That kind of power can destroy her if she is not properly instructed."

Optimus understood and intakes heavily. "You are right. She was asking us how she could even transform if she's never been taught...though I know it is a mental part she has to learn."

"Then help her!" Ratchet barked at him. "She needs us to help her..." He paused as Saphira's heartrate suddenly spiked higher and her body tensed. "By the..." He is cut off as they visibly see her veins and heart glow of the white, rainbow light that had been inside the crystals. "What is..."

Optimus groaned and placed a hand on his chassis. "The Matrix...it seems to sense that..." He grimaced a little and leaned down before opening his chassis. "It is alright, Saphira. I'm here..."

Megatron, Knockout, Ratchet, Bulkhead and Wheeljack stare as the Matrix glows gently as though it was trying to soothe or connect with Saphira. It took a few minutes before the light fades from the Matrix and the glow in Saphira's veins and heart also fades away.
