Two Weeks Later...
The next couple weeks has been extremely pleasant for Saphira. Now that she had officially bonded with Megatron, it was as if it gave the sparklings excitement. In fact, they were on a growth spurt according to Ratchet. He worried that they would grow too big, too quickly. But on the other side, it seemed bonding completely with Megatron was a key component in reducing the morning sickness that Saphira had been experiencing.
The day after her birthday, she woke up to nausea, but not enough to make her vomit. It was actually a pleasant surprise, and Saphira was really happy that she was able to wake up and have breakfast without throwing up. There have been a few days where she has vomited, but not to the extent that she had before. It meant she wouldn't need the anti-nausea medication. It made her days so much better and the two Mechs were thrilled that Saphira didn't have to worry about morning sickness much anymore.
Another change Saphira went through was that she no longer liked the taste and smell of corn, peas and strawberries. She was upset about not liking strawberries, she knew that once she was no longer pregnant, she should still like strawberries. But the smell of these things was enough to make her gag. It wasn't difficult to avoid at least.
Though her mood swings were not easy to avoid. For some reason, she felt the need to have a go at Bulkhead over anything that set her off. The first couple times she got angry at him was when Bulkhead laughed at a joke Wheeljack told. It surprised everyone that she even got mad at him. Though it became clear it was just her hormones, and Saphira did apologize afterwards each time. She was as frustrated as Bulkhead as she hated being angry at him for something small.
At the same time, she actually found herself spending time with Wheeljack. The bot has turned out to be very funny. The wrecker was looking forward to meeting the sparklings and potentially babysitting in the future when necessary. He had even made them their first toys, or rather, toy ships. They were something that Saphira wouldn't let the sparklings use for several years, but they were popular with Miko, Jack and Raf.
Saphira also had a few updates on Starscream. He was recovering well from his injuries and he came out of life support recently, which has been really good. Saphira was looking forward to seeing him and talking with him as she knew that he would need someone to talk to. In fact, she has asked Optimus and Megatron about taking her to the Nemesis to see him. They had been uncertain about letting her, though she had been insisting on it as she wanted to know if he remembered what she said to him.
Eventually, Megatron gave in as he knew Saphira just wanted to be his friend. He has seen her friendship with Wheeljack growing recently. The wrecker had even taken Saphira for a drive where he told her about his journey among the stars after leaving Cybertron. It fascinated her and she found herself asking questions about the other wreckers and what they were like. She didn't ask if they were still alive, she knew that it was a sore topic for him. Wheeljack did appreciate it as he preferred speaking about the wreckers when they were alive, rather than announcing if they were alive or dead.
Today, Saphira wanted to go and see Starscream. She heard from Knockout that he would likely be out of the medical bay soon, and she felt he could use a friendly face. Plus, she hasn't seen Dreadwing or Soundwave in a while, and it would be nice to see them again. She knew they have not found anything new yet regarding Mech, so that was a reason why they haven't made a lot of contact. The only thing she knew was that Megatron had ordered his vehicons to build a new space bridge underground on the planet.
Saphira also learned about the two relics that were retrieved. The phase shifter, which Wheeljack immediately began harassing Ratchet with, and Saphira found it hilarious. Knockout even began to use it, and it seemed that the two of them would fight over the device because they both liked it so much. And the Apex Armor was the next relic. It was a powerful suit of armor that could fit almost anyone, and it was very strong and impenetrable. Saphira found it fit her quite well, as did Miko. Miko was thrilled she was able to wrestle with Wheeljack and Bulkhead because of it.
