Saphira remained with Optimus and sat on his shoulder as they step out of the vortex. She was surprised that they had arrived in Egypt. She glanced around as she looked at the pyramids and sphinx statues that were nearby and she couldn't help but smile. It was night here in Egypt, and this was absolutely beautiful. She could even see the Nile glistening in the distance from the light of the moon.
"Oh!" Saphira exclaimed excitedly, pressing her hands on her cheeks. "I've always wanted to see Egypt." Optimus turned his head and smiled at her. "It is so beautiful here tonight." She looked at him with a smile before blushing suddenly. She grabbed a strand of her hair and twirled it around in her finger. Optimus's smile softens slightly as it was a habit she had stopped after she fell pregnant and it was one he still loved to see. "Do we have to find the relic straight away?"
Megatron snorted in amusement. "I am not so sure Calytrix and Stellaxy would allow us to spend additional time. At least Calytrix won't. My girl might." He looked at Optimus in amusement. "I do wonder how she has such a personality."
"I think it is due to the trauma Calytrix has already gone through, Megatron," Optimus said gently with a sadness in his eyes. "Saphira felt the moment I was struck by the satellite beam, so did Calytrix. On top of that, Galvatron terrified her when he smashed through those boxes and felt Saphira's fear and stress in the mix. That combination alone is traumatic for a newborn sparkling."
Saphira felt tears in her eyes as she listened to Optimus. "I feel bad that she and Stellaxy both went through so much...even before their birth, I think they both were stressed. Calytrix probably is scared of being alone."
Optimus nodded. "I think so too. At least she can grow with peace knowing that she is safe." He turned his head to Saphira with a smile. "Though I do agree with Megatron. As much as this ancient area of the world is beautiful at this very moment, I don't really want to be away from the sparklings."
Saphira understood. She was just having a wishful moment. She glanced around as she admired the monuments while Megatron and Optimus walk through the sands with a scanner to find the relic. Saphira was enjoying it even if they were just going to find the relic an leave. She couldn't help but hum softly as they walk.
Both Megatron and Optimus were immediately aware of the gentle, melodic voice coming from Saphira. Even if she was humming. It had been so long for her to even sing, even if she was just humming. It was always beautiful to the two of them. And it showed she was far happier and relaxed. Even though Galvatron was still around, he was far less of a threat with Mech dismantled.
"When you wish upon a star,
Makes no difference who you are.
Anything your heart desires,
Will come to you.
If your heart in in your dream,
No request is too extreme.
When you wish upon a star,
As dreamers do.
Fate is kind.
She brings to those who love.
The sweet fulfillment,
Of their secret longing."
Optimus and Megatron were already in love with the song Saphira was singing. Optimus still remembers the story she told him when she was younger and the conversation she had with her mother. It was amusing and sweet that even at such a young age, Saphira had dreamed of meeting someone who would love her from the stars above. He didn't know if Megatron knew the story, but he did. And this song really felt as though it was her mind speaking of when she was young.
