꒰ ͜͡➸ how you two met

—RAIN—

- one of your friends was a sibling of sin at the ministry and had invited you to a party that the ghouls were holding for their rendition of christmas. anti cristmuss or something like that, you weren't too sure.

"you made it!" you friend screeched as they saw you walk up to the anti-church. "you know i'd never pass up an opportunity to see this beautiful castle." you grinned. "so join the ministry!" you friend groaned. you rolled your eyes, grinning even more.

as your friend dragged you through the dark marble walls of the ministry, you passed many ghouls, passing even more as your friend led you down to the catacombs where the ghouls
resided.

"you're favorite human has arrived!!" your friend yelled as they led you into a common room. you smiled, looking around at all the ghouls. you recognized some, the only name reaching your memory being 'mountain.'

"heyy, f/n!" a ghoul yelled, walking over and dragging your friend away from you. you didn't mind. this happened at almost every party you attended at the
ministry.

you looked around, locking eyes with a ghoul who sat near the corner of the room on steps that looked like they led to a side chill out room. you grinned, walking
over.

the ghoul tensed under your stare, seemingly nervous. you thought about backing off, but figured a shy ghoul was the best way to ease yourself into the night.

"hey, i'm y/n." you smiled, gesturing to the spot next to the ghoul. he nodded, quickly scooting to the side to make room for you. "have we met before?" you asked, tilting your head as you sat. the ghoul shook his head, looking down at the ground.

"great! what's your name?" you asked. he looked up, seemingly shocked. "uh- i'm rain." he tried to smile, but it looked obviously forced. you smiled at how awkward he was.

"you know f/n?" you asked. he shook his head. "ah.. you must not know much about me then." you nodded, looking out to the crowd of ghouls, seeing f/n smiling at you. you smiled back and waved subtly. "no i do.."

you looked over, shocked. "you do?" he nodded. "how so?" you continued. rain shrugged slightly,

"you're hard to not want to know more about.."

—MOUNTAIN—

- he had found you in the woods, sitting alone against his favorite tree.
- mountain was a bit surprised to see a human so far into the woods surrounding your town. he was especially surprised when he realized you knew nothing about meliora.

mountain froze when he felt the presence of another being in the woods around him.

he was sure one of the other ghouls was trying to sneak up on him, so he was extra alert as he carefully made his way to his favorite tree.

as mountain entered the small clearing, he froze yet again, his breath being forced out of his lungs as he was shocked by your radiant beauty.

his tail flicked, aggressively hitting the small tree that was close to him. the earth ghoul hissed in response to the pain from the impact, quickly hiding behind a bigger tree as you turned to look at the
sound.
