also, i'm testing a new nickname for swiss. it'll replace on of the ones i have on his list if enough people like it, so state your opinions wisely.

—RAIN—

- since he's a water ghoul he can't warm you up himself, as he tends to run cold, but you both have had heaters in your room ever since you moved in with each other, so it's not too hard.

you curled into yourself under the warmest comforter that you and rain had, yet it wasn't enough.

the time papa said would be hardest in your transformation was starting, and you were quickly feeling it's affects.

you winced slightly as the door opened, breaking the darkness. rain squinted slightly, seeing you curled up under the comforter and trembling.

"dove, why didn't you send me a message?" rain asked, hurrying into the room and grabbing two heaters. "i dunno how.." you mumbled, watching your boyfriend move around in the darkness.

rain sighed softly, turning on both the heaters to a safe temperature and quickly climbing into bed, already in his night clothes.

"we'll have to work on that, won't we?" rain whispered, tucking you in tightly, wrapping his arms around you after. you hummed, closing your eyes and leaning into your ghoul.

"tell me when you're all warmed up. the heaters can get pretty overwhelming." rain whispered, kissing your forehead before nuzzling into your hair, being mindful of your horns.

—MOUNTAIN—

- he's had dew warming up hoodies every night ever since you were brought back up from hell.
- whether you used them or not depended on the night, but it was rare that you didn't.

mountain smiled at you as he helped you pull on the green hoodie, your body already reacting to it's warmth.

"thank you, mountain.." you sighed, slightly trembling again. mountain's smile softened as he pulled you into his lap, watching the fire in the common room with you.

"don't thank me, love. i'm just keeping you safe from the hell-ish shit that being a ghoul comes with." mountain joked. you smiled, leaning into your boyfriend's body.

"have i ever told you how much i love and appreciate you?" you asked, trying to hold back a shiver. "you don't need too, love. i know you love me, and i don't need your appreciation to keep doing what i do for you." mountain hummed, kissing your forehead.

"i still love and appreciate you." you mumbled, leaning into him. mountain smiled, resting his chin on your head between your horns.

"i love and appreciate you, too, flower."

—AETHER—

- dew owes him about 700 million favors so he cashes one in whenever you're a bit too cold.

"hey, sparky," dew smiled softly as he carefully stepped into your room. you sniffled, looking over at the fire ghoul, seeing aether standing behind him. "how're you feeling?" dew asked, walking over.

"like ice." you stated, closing your eyes, your body tired from trying to keep it's heat up. "i heard," dew chuckled, lifting the many comforters that were laid on you, climbing into bed beside you.

dew hissed softly as your skin made contact with his, but pushed past the icy pain, wrapping his arms around you and surging his fiery energy into yours.

you snuggled into dew, hearing aether 'aw' softly as the fire ghoul relaxed into you as well.

'i got her, big boy,' dew started a mental connection with aether, making the quintessence ghoul perk up. 'you can go do your chores.' dew finished. aether glanced at the door before looking back at the two of you.

'are you sure?' aether asked. dew hummed softly, starting to purr so you wouldn't try and waste energy asking what he was humming about.

'but what if-' aether started, but immediately stopped as dew opened his eye and sent him a glare. aether nodded, quietly leavening the room.

dew sighed, pulling you closer with a soft smile as he felt you start to warm up.

—SWISS—

- since he's developed his fire and earth abilities the most, he's good at warming you up but not to the point where it's unbearable

"how're you feeling, buttercup?" swiss asked, petting his hand over your hair before kissing your forehead. "a bit better," you whispered. "that's good. it's not too overbearing?" swiss tilted his head, not very practiced in purposefully warming other ghouls and ghoulettes up like the full fire ghouls were.

"it's perfect," you smiled, your eyes still droopy from the exhaustion of being so cold. swiss smiled as well, hugging you and accidentally sending out a big rush of heat.

you hissed, backing away from your boyfriend as his skin became as hot as fiery coals.

"shit, sorry. are you okay?" swiss asked, cooling himself down before he started examining the skin that had been slightly burned. you nodded. "it's okay, i'm alright. it caught me off guard and it was a big change to what i'm feeling." you soothed your boyfriend, leaning into his body again. swiss sighed in relief, hugging you tightly but maintaining a good temperature.

"i don't wanna hurt you, buttercup. tell me if it's too much." swiss whispered. "i will, i promise."

—DEW—

- he's constantly checking your temperature when the time of struggle copia predicted started to arise.
- like, he made sure himself and rain were attached to your hip so you'd remain a tolerable temperature.

"too cold?" dew asked, looking at you as he and rain cuddled you in your shared bed with dew. you nodded, shivering. "shit, rain, back up!" dew yelped, pushing rain away as gently as he could.

"i didn't mean to, i'm sorry." rain apologized, scrambling away. "it wasn't you." you shook your head, leaning into dew as your mind became foggy. dew surged heat into the energy around him, making rain swallow harshly as he started to become dehydrated.

"go. it's okay." you whispered, opening your eyes and looking at rain. he nodded, not bothering to ask dew before he bolted out of the room.

"did you have to push him like that?" you asked, tiredly looking up at your boyfriend. "i'm sorry. i'm worried." dew frowned. you sighed tiredly, leaning further into the fire ghoul.

"tell me when to back off, alright?" dew told you. you nodded, your tail finding his and circling it until the spades were rested against each other's.

dew smiled softly, kissing your forehead and hugging you close.

"i'll always be your flame, angel. i promise."
