"who's ready for practice?" copia smiled widely, far to excited for such a repetitive time. everyone loved music, but sometimes practice became mind numbing.

all the ghouls, including yourself, replied as excited as they could. though, one ghoul was missing.

you looked beside yourself, not seeing swiss in his place on your shared platform.

"swiss is missing," you reported, looking around worriedly. "what?" copia asked.

swiss was never late to practice. if anything, he enjoyed it more than copia. he got to dance around, put all his talent to use, and mess with his pack-mates. it was his literal definition of a good time.

yet, he was missing.

just as copia went to send aether to search for the multi-ghoul, swiss walked through the doors, missing his mask.

"there you are! we were worried, cucciolo," copia breathed a sigh of relief, smiling at swiss. "'m sorry," swiss mumbled, rubbing his eyes. "va bene, tesoro," copia waved his hand dismissively, turning to his list of things he wanted to run through this practice.

swiss shuffled over to your shared platform, stumbling slightly as he climbed the stairs.

"are you okay?" you asked, grabbing his forearm and helping him balance. he hummed and nodded, not waving you off as quickly as he would with the other ghouls.

"you don't have your mask." you commented. swiss looked up at you with wide eyes, placing his hand on his head as if to see if you were telling the truth. "shit.." he grumbled, sliding his hand down from his forehead to his eyes. you smiled softly, slipping your mask off to make him more comfortable.

"you don't have too. i'm just stupid.." swiss mumbled, watching you through his cracked fingers. you shrugged with a grin, tossing the helmet down on to the main floor, gaining the attention of the rest of the ghouls.

"a chill practice? fucking finally." dew groaned, quickly taking his helmet and balaclava, tossing them to the ground as well. the rest of the ghouls were soon to follow, copia not being bothered by their ghoulish appearances.

swiss looked at you with a soft smile, making you notice how tired he actually looked.

"did you sleep last night?" you asked, your eyes rows furrowing with worry. swiss stiffened up, looking ahead. "yeah. don't worry about it." he mumbled.

"little sunshine? swiss, you'll get to hold that note how you like," copia smiled, looking up from his list.

"first? not, like- cirice, or something?" swiss asked, his tail twitching. you frowned, watching the multi-ghoul show signs of stress and anxiety.

"you love little sunshine, though." copia said, confused. "well, yeah.. but, like.. first?" swiss' voice got quieter as he went on. "yes. why not?" copia continued. "i dunno. what if i fuck up the note?" swiss asked. copia laughed softly.

"cucciolo, that is what practice is for. do not worry about messing up when we are here to get things perfect." copia smiled, looking back down at his notes. "yeah, swiss, what're you so nervous for?" dew taunted, trying to joke around with the multi-ghoul to make him feel better. swiss just swallowed harshly, shaking his head and adjusting the mic that was resting perfectly in its stand before.

"hey," you whispered, grabbing one of swiss' hands. he looked over, frown lines on his face directly contrasting his usual smile lines. "if it's bothering you that much, i can take it over and we can practice one on one later. how does that sound?" you offered, speaking softly as to not set him on edge. swiss stared at you with emotional eyes for a moment before quickly nodding, squeezing your hand thankfully. you smiled gently, squeezing swiss' hand back.

you sighed softly as you stood up from your desk, walking over to the door when a knock sounded. it was late, none of the other ghouls should have been awake. yet, here you were.

you opened the door, seeing a familiar multi-ghoul.

"hey, what's up?" you asked, your eyes softening at how tired he looked. "i couldn't sleep.." swiss mumbled, looking down at his hands as he messed with his fingers. "why not go to mountain or rain?" you asked, stepping aside. "not to say you're not welcome here." you added quickly as swiss walked through your door and shuffled into the room.

"they're not what i want." swiss stated, his voice completely void of emotion. you looked at him confused as you closed your door. swiss looked back at you, feeling his heart trying to stretch out of his chest and grab onto you.

after a moment of staring, swiss' lip quivered as he pathetically held his arms out, needing a hug.

"oh, swiss," you sighed softly, pulling swiss into your arms and hugging him tightly. tears welled in swiss' eyes as he rested his chin on your shoulder for a moment, burying his nose into the crook of your neck after.

"i don't know why i feel this way," swiss' voice cracked as he spoke. "when was the last time one of us sat down and cuddled with you?" you asked quietly. swiss paused for a moment.

"it's been more than a month," he answered. you frowned, pulling away from the hug, receiving a whimper and a few whines from the multi-ghoul. you didn't respond to his sounds, turning off the big light in your room and turning on all the ones that wouldn't overwhelm his senses.

you grabbed swiss' hand after, dragging him over to your bed and laying down. swiss followed, resting himself in your arms and letting a few tears slip as he felt your love spewing into his system.

"why didn't you come to me earlier?" you asked softly. "i wasn't feeling this way towards anyone else. i was confused. i didn't want to creep you out." swiss mumbled back. "oh, swiss, if you're in need of something so easily given you can always talk to me about it. i'm always going to be here for you." you whispered. swiss whimpered softly and nodded, leaning into your body more.

you brought your tail up and wrapped it around the multi-ghoul's, the spades mingling with each other before deciding to just rest comfortably.

"i love you," swiss whispered, not knowing if he meant it platonically or romantically.

all the ghouls had relations with each other that would confuse any human, but it was normal for pack-mates. they relieved each other's needs, filled their romantic desires, but all without putting a label on anything. they were happy with that, as well. its how it's been for all of time.

"i love you too, swiss," you purred.
