- when you were taking your entrance tests and procedures for joining the ministry, secondo made sister imperator give you some grace and he eased the load of word imperator wanted to give you.
- since then, it's been an unspoken agreement that secondo is your papa and you answer to him in formal terms.
- in casual, he's basically your dad now.
- and rain was terrified of how the second papa would react to you and him being together.

"secondo i have someone for you to meet.." you smiled as you poked your head into his office. secondo looked up from his work, smiling one of his rare smiles at you.

this meeting had been set for about a month. secondo had no idea what it was about, but rain definitely did.

"hello, mellitula. are they here?" secondo asked as he stood from his desk and met you halfway in his office, giving you a hug. "almost." you grinned.

you had told rain to come to secondo's office after a short practice that copia had set. rain agreed, glad that you thought your relationship was serious enough for rain to.. i guess meet the parents.

that was until he learned it was secondo he'd be meeting. he wanted to back out immediately.

he was at secondo's office.

rain took a deep breath as his tail flicked, raising his fist up to the door. he heard your voice inside.

"you're going to love him." you told secondo. "i'm sure i will. he seems to make you very happy, mellitula." secondo responded in his usual low, stern tone. though, rain heard a large amount of care and love in his voice.

rain swallowed, knocking.

the door swung open immediately and he was crushed by a hug from you. rain smiled as all his anxieties washed away for a moment, his arms wrapping around you as he buried his face into your hair and kissed your forehead softly.

"secondo," you grinned, pulling out of the hug and dragging rain further into the room, kicking the door closed. rain stood to attention, though his hand was still interlocked with yours.

secondo's stare was hard and intimidating. rain swallowed, trying not to show how nervous he was.

"this is rain, my boyfriend." you grinned, wrapping your arm around rain's and keeping your hands interlocked. secondo's eyes flicked down to your hands before he looked back up at rain.

rain fully expected secondo to call him ghoul or water as he kicked him out. though when secondo's gaze softened and he gave a small smile, rain almost fainted.

"it is good to meet you, rain. you keep y/n happy, yes?" secondo asked, holding out his hand. "yes sir." rain nodded, reaching out and shaking secondo's hand. secondo's grip tightened as he somewhat dragged rain closer. "good. keep it that way." secondo subtly threatened the water ghoul.

you rolled your eyes as rain nodded quickly, his tail flicking.

"that's all. i just really wanted you two to meet." you put on a smile as you pulled your boyfriend back to you. rain gave a nervous smile to secondo as he somewhat hid behind you. secondo gave rain a pointed looked before his eyes softened as he looked back at you.
