꒰ ͜͡➸ you have a nightmare

—RAIN—

- he's a light sleeper, so any sudden movement from you wakes him up pretty easily.
- once he's up, though, he has no idea how to wake you up. he thinks he'll just scare you more :(

rain startled awake as he felt the bed jolt. he looked over seeing you slightly writhing in your sleep as you whimpered and let out soft sobs.

rain shot up, hovering his hands around you as he tried to figure out a way to ease you into lucidity.

after a few minutes, your cries became too much for him and he just put his hands on your waist, sitting over top of you as he softly called your name.

you woke up easily, your wide teary eyes quickly finding his.

"rain.." you whimpered, reaching up to him. rain let himself into your arms, hugging you back.

"shh, it's okay, dove.. i'm here.. i'm right here." rain whispered soothingly, his tail tracing patterns on your thigh to calm you down.

after a few minutes, your whimpers had died down and your grip on him wasn't as tight. rain slowly pulled away from you, looking down to see you sleeping.

the water ghoul smile, extending his legs down the bed and settling himself on top of you, a soft purring rumbling in his chest to keep both you and him at ease.

—MOUNTAIN—

- he was awake reading when your dream started.
- he didn't realize at first but as soon as he did he let his earth ghoul energy radiate from his body to calm you down.

mountain sighed softly as he turned a page in his book while subconsciously checking on you.

though, he did a double take as he realized you were curled in on yourself, whimpering almost silently.

mountain set his book to the side, laying down next to you and letting his earth ghoul energy mix with yours to calm you down. he placed his hand on the side of your head, your body reacting immediately and stretching out before curling into his.

mountain smiled softly, his tail raising up and turning off the beside light while he wrapped his arms around you, sighing softly.

—AETHER—

- another dad mode moment
- even though he was very panicky

aether's head snapped over from his desk to you, watching as you kicked all the blankets off and wrapped your arms around yourself, soft cries coming from you.

the quintessence ghoul shot up and hurried over, placing his hand on your shoulder to gently shake you awake.

though, he didn't get very far since one touch startled you awake, a scared whimper escaping you as you looked around hastily.

"shh, it's okay, y/n, i'm right here. everything is okay, darling.." aether whispered, gently cupping your face and turning your head so you would look at him.

you swallowed harshly, reaching up and hugging your boyfriend. aether sighed softly, hugging you back tightly to make sure you knew you were safe.

"do you want to talk about it?" aether asked. you shook your head. "okay. that's alright, honey."

—SWISS—

- he has nightmares too so he understands
- he'll very gently ease you into being awake and then act like he didn't even notice you were having a nightmare—since he doesn't like it when people make a big deal of his nightmares.
- you know this, so if you ask for comfort you know he'll gladly give it to you.
- plus, it's hard to miss the fact that he's worried. once you're awake he'd constantly glance at you and have to bite his lip to shut himself up from making any worried comments.

swiss grumbled as he felt you shove your hand into his chest.

"what the hell, babe.." swiss groaned as you did it again. he opened his eyes and looked at you, but all confusion and annoyance left his system as he realized you were having a nightmare.

swiss quickly poked you in the side, making sure it was hard enough to wake you up slightly. when you grumbled slightly he did it again, closing his eyes after and pretending to be asleep.

swiss listened to every sound and movement you made, knowing the exact moment you were awake and understood what had happened.

swiss felt you turn to him and gently place your hand on his shoulder, shaking him slightly.

"swiss? can you wake up, please?" you whispered. swiss gave it a couple more seconds before he pretended to wake up, his eyes fluttering open and making contact with yours.

"hi.." you mumbled. swiss smiled softly. "hey, babygirl.." swiss whispered back. you smiled shyly.

"can.. can you hold me? i just had a bad dream.." you mumbled. swiss immediately wrapped his arms around you, pulling you close to him. you smiled, cuddling closer to your boyfriend.

"thank you, swiss.." you whispered. swiss smiled.

"i'll always be here to protect you, baby."

—DEW—

- you wake up from the nightmare because he subconsciously rolled on top of you in his sleep.
- it's like he knew what was happening and decided it wasn't worth waking up for but he'd help anyway LMAO

you grunted, quickly waking up as you felt something land on top of you.

your nightmare quickly replayed in your head as you looked down at your chest, seeing dew laying there still fast asleep.

you sighed, annoyed you woke up so suddenly but grateful that your boyfriend managed to wake you up in a really idiotic, sleepy way.
