Chapter 4

"So what's going in with you and Justin?" Selena asked as she flipped through her magazine.

"We kissed in a pool." I spilled out. Selena immediately set her magazine down.

"What? Was this last night at the party?" She asked looking very surprised.

"Yah, didn't you notice? Two wet people going up to my room." I replied sarcastically.

"Oh so you went to your room afterwards" Selena exclaimed.

"Nothing happened! We just dried off and put our clothes in the drier."

"So Justin didn't have clothes! Oooo!"

"Selena!"

"Okay okay I'm done." Selena replied as she laughed.

"Good, I'm going to go for a swim." I told her. Just as I was about to get up my phone buzzed. It was a text from Justin.

"It's from Justin isn't it!" Selena squealed excitedly.

"Yep, he wants to go on a date." I replied smiling brightly.

"Say yes!" Selena urged. Well actually more like grabbing the phone from me a typing in an answer.

"Wait don't send it! I wanna see what it says!" I exclaimed as I tried to reach for the phone.

"I already sent it!" Selena said victoriously. She handed my phone back to me and I frantically opened up my messages to see what she had sent. Thankfully it wasn't anything bad. Justin replied and we agreed to have Justin pick me up at 7:00.

"We need to get you ready!" Selena exclaimed tugging me into the bathroom. For the next two hours Selena put me through all of her beauty treatments. When we were done I didn't recognize myself.

"Wow! How on earth did you do this! Thank you!" I exclaimed in awe.

"It's a gift!" Selena replied as she packed up her makeup supplies.

"It's an amazing gift that's for sure!"

"Haha well you better get dressed Justin is gonna be here soon!" Selena said rushing me out of the bathroom and into her room. Selena chose a white dress with little blue and yellow flowers. It went a little bit above my knees.

At 7:00 sharp Justin arrived.

"You look amazing!" Justin commented as we go in his car.

"Thanks, you do too!" I replied blushing a little. Justin laughed and then asked if it was okay if went to Beverly Hills for dinner. Which in case you didn't know is the most expensive restaurant in L.A!

"Uh yah that would be great!" I replied feeling a little bit nervous.

"I'm just going to warn you. As soon as we get out of Selena's gate the paparazzi are going to be everywhere. They will swarm around and yell out crazy things. So just keep your head down. When we get out of the car just hold on to me." Justin explained. This only made me even more nervous. I nodded and we drove out. The paparazzi were crazy! I could hear them yelling out random questions. Most of them were about me. Once we got on the highway they were gone.

"That was crazy! This is how it's usually for you isn't it?" I asked.

"Yah, it's always like this." Justin replied stressing on the always. For the rest of the car ride Justin and I talked about paparazzi. When we got out of the car it was insanity. When I said the paparazzi were crazy before. This time it was just bad. It was like a horror film flashing lights, people screaming and yelling. Justin wrapped his arm around my waist and led me through the crowd to the restaurant. I hid my face inJustin's shoulder and hugged his waist. We reached the entrance of the restaurant and were escorted in and to our seats.

"Are you alright?" Justin asked before he kissed me.

"Yah it was just... Insane." I replied then kissed him back.

"Hi my name is Paige and I will be your waitress for tonight! Here are your menus. What can I start you off with?" The waitress asked smiling brightly.

"I'll take a sprite and the minestrone." Justin replied.

"I'll have the same." I replied not having a clue in world about what a minestrone was.

"I'll be back to take your orders in a bit." She said and then left.

"This is place is awesome!" I exclaimed.

"I'm glad you like it!" Justin replied smiling. When Justin smiles it's the most beautiful thing in the world! It's even more beautiful when he smiles at me. I grinned back and browsed through the menu.

"I think I'm gonna have the fettuccine Alfredo. The picture looks good." I commented.

"It's really good I got it once. But I think I'm gonna go with a steak."

"I'm not that fond of steak." I replied. Within a couple a minutes the waitress came and took our order. Probably because Justin was there we got our food in twenty minutes. I tried not to make a complete fool of myself as I ate my pasta. My efforts did not help.

"You got a little something." Justin said laughing as he wiped it off with a napkin.

"If you haven't noticed I'm not the most dainty eater." I said.

"I love the way you eat! Your not like most girls who are constantly trying to impress me. Your not afraid to be yourself." Justin commented.

"Thanks" I replied blushing again. For the rest of the dinner we talked about random things and I expressed my crazy obsession over cats to him.

"Is your twitter username Kate loves cats?" Justin asked.

"Yah, how do you know?"

"I saw that username a couple of times I remember because it has the pic of the surprised kitten."

"Yep that's me! I want a kitten so bad!!! I'm going to name him Mr. Snuggles. It was against the apartment rules to have pets. So I have never really had a cat but my best friend Anna does." Suddenly I stopped talking as I realized how much I missed her.

"Kate are okay?" Justin asked.

"Yah, I just, nothing." I replied snapping myself out of my thoughts. Eventually Justin got me to forget about Anna for the time being. The rest of the date was great. Justin was just so sweet. Everything he did was for me. For once in my life I felt beautiful.
