Chapter 22

*Justin's P.O.V*

I couldn't believe what she had done to me! I mean honestly when I asked her about the text I expected her to be upset with me for thinking she had done something like that! I just can't believe she was playing me that whole time. It seemed so genuine. Like she really truly loved me. I knew we were drifting apart! But I didn't think it was this serious. I didn't think she was gonna try and kill me. I thought we had something and I thought it was love.

**One Week Later**

Selena's P.O.V

I rang the doorbell on Justin's house hoping he would answer. It had been a week since Kate and I had talked and I wanted to hang out. It wasn't like her to not call me for this long. "Hey can I talk to Kate?" I asked as soon as he opened the door.

"Kate's not here. We broke up about a week ago." He said.

"Your kidding right." I said.

"It's not a joke. We're done." He replied. I could see the pain in his eyes that he was trying so hard to hide and I knew this wasn't a joke.

"Why?" I asked walking inside.

"You better sit down." He said pointing to a chair. I sat down not knowing what to expect. He took a deep breath and spilled everything. By the time he was done, he was practically sobbing.

"I just thought. We had something! I thought she was the one." He sobbed as I hugged him.

"I know, i know it's gonna be alright." I said. It hurt me to see him like this. He was broken and nobody except Kate could mend him. Where was she?

"Justin, where is Kate?" I asked nervously.

"I don't know." He replied shakily.

"So the last place you saw her was in the alley way?" I asked.

"Yeah." He replied.

"Justin she never came home! I haven't seen her for a week!"

"You mean she's missing." He said and tears started to from in his eyes again.

"I... I think so." I replied.

"Do you think she went home?" He asked.

"Yeah, that's probably what she did." I replied. But I knew something else had happened. She wouldn't go back there.

"I'm... i'm gonna take a shower." Justin said getting up.

"I'm gonna go home and try to contact her. We have a lot to talk about." I said getting up. I couldn't believe she had done something like that. I felt cheated. It just didn't seem like her. I had only known her for a year. But I never once thought she was capable of something like this. Murder, premeditated murder. I couldn't believe it. It just didn't seem right. Kate was in love Justin. I could see it. Just in the little things that she did for him. She loved him. Why would she do something like this? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Three Days Later

Justin's P.O.V

I set down my guitar and picked up my phone. A restricted number was calling me. "Hello?" I asked uncertainly.

"Is this Justin Bieber?" A gruff voice asked. This was not a fan.

"Yes, why?" "If you want Kate back, we're gonna need ten thousand dollars in cash." He said.

"You have her!" I yelled into the phone.

"Yes, and if you want her back. You'd better pay up." He replied.

"I'll pay, when can I get her back?" I asked.

"Tomorrow, 3 o'clock. Same place you left her."

"Ok, I'll be there." I said. So this was my fault. Kate got kidnapped because I left her!

"Tell anyone about this and you'll get her back in a body bag." The man said and then hung up. I quickly called up Selena and told her what had happened. I needed help I couldn't do this on my own.

"Did you talk to Kate?" She asked.

"No, was I supposed too?" I asked.

"Yes! They could be lying! Did that even cross your mind?!" She yelled.

"I'm sorry! But I'm still going. What if they really have her!" I said.

"This is not a game Justin! This is real stuff! Those people are dangerous!"

"I know! But can you imagine what horrible things they're doing to her!" I yelled back.

"I know.... But bring Kenny with at least." She said, her voice lowering.

"I can't I'm not supposed to tell anyone. They said they would....kill her." I replied suddenly realizing how bad this really was.

"Be careful... Your still in love with her aren't you." She said and I realized I would have to face it.

"Yes." I replied and my voice cracked.

"I miss her so much... I miss her smile... But then I feel so upset with myself for still loving her after what she did." I explained.

"I was looking around Kate's room and I found her phone. She was being blackmailed. This wasn't something she wanted to do." Selena said and I felt as though a huge weight had been lifted off my chest. She really did love me. It was fate that we found each other. She didn't start dating me so she could kill me. We really did have something.

"I need her back." I whispered.
