Chapter 5

"Wow, Anna's really a mom." I say to Justin as I snuggle into the covers.

"It's kinda weird isn't it." Justin replies getting into the covers next to me.

"Yeah really weird. Like the last time I saw her she was Anna. Now she's all grown up mature Anna.... That's responsible for another person!" I explain.

"Well I'm sure she felt the same way when you became famous. I mean you've changed a lot since I first met you."

"Should I take that as a compliment?" I ask laughing.

"Yeah it's a compliment." He replies and kisses my forehead.

"But do you think..." I pause for a moment before continuing. "Do you think that we won't be as good friends because she's grown up and gotten all mature and I haven't. I mean I still get excited over the toy in the cereal box!"

"Well if Anna's really your friend no matter what happens you two will always have a strong relationship." He says.

"Well I mean if we grew apart it wouldn't be Anna's fault! I mean it wouldn't be her fault th-"

"Is this really about Anna growing apart from you? Or you growing apart from her because your weirded out by the fact that she's a mom." Justin says cutting me off. He gives me an unreadable look and shuts the lamp on his bedside table off.

I sink into the covers thinking over Justin's words. That's not true. That's not true at all.

I spend practically the whole night thinking about why I'm feeling so weird about Anna being a mom, and finally come to a conclusion.

Anna being a mom is just a very new idea to me and I just need some time to get use to it. And also this means that Anna's not a kid and neither am I. I'm an adult now... One day maybe even soon ill be a mom. And that scares me. It scares me to know that I'm not a kid anymore. It scares me to know that I'm going to be all wrinkly and old some day. But I guess I just have to accept it.

"So how is it being an actress?" Anna asks after I set my keys in the little bowl on the small table by the door.

"It's amazing my dream came true and I'm so happy. Indescribably happy." I reply walking out to the living room and plopping on the couch.

"I'm glad your enjoying it!" Anna replies.

"Yeah, but how are you liking being a mom?" I ask smiling at her.

"It's really exciting. I mean at first I was really scared I mean it's no secret I'm 24 years old! Kinda young to be having a kid. But Nialls so helpful and such a good father that If I could do it again I wouldn't change anything."

"Awwwhhh that's so cute! You two are just so cute!" I gush.

"Yeah, like right now he's feeding Jade. I just love them both so much!" I exclaim.

"Kate! Your home!" I hear Justin yell from on top of stairs. Within a couple seconds he's squeezing me in a bear hug and Anna's giggling as she records us with her phone.

"Your awfully excited to see me? Did you do something?" I ask eyeing him suspiciously.

"No I did not do anything." He replies flatly.

"I'm gonna trust you, but I feel like I'm gonna regret it."

"Ouch!" Anna says from behind us. I roll my eyes at her and plop back into the couch. Justin takes a seat next to me and I give him a suspicious looks and he just laughs.

"Okay so Niall and I were thinking of buying a house here in L.A." Anna says.

"Your moving here!!" I shout excitedly.
