Chapter 9

Kate's P.O.V

It had been two days since I had gotten that creepy text. By now I had almost convinced myself that it was all a coincidence and I had nothing to worry about. Every time Justin would try to get me to open up to him, I would try to convince him that nothing was wrong, but really I was just trying to get myself to believe it wasn't true.

I heard the door open and immediately my heart rate went up. Selena was in Chicago for an interview. I slowly crept towards the door. I poked my head around the corner and squinted to see some one in the darkness. The figure came into view and I realized it was Justin. I let out huge sigh and ran up to him.

"Justin! I was so worried! I thought you were some crazy murderer!" I exclaimed, giving him a hug.

"Sorry! I would have called but the paparazzi were chasing me!" Justin apologized.

"It's okay, I probably should have figured out it was you considering that only Selena, you, and I have key to the house." I said then kissed Justin. He seemed almost surprised because we had been so distant these past couple of days. But I just wanted things to go back to normal. I missed him even though he was right there.

We hung out and made brownies which did not end well.

"Justin I don't think your supposed to put that much cinnamon. Wait a sec" I said as I picked up the brownie recipe. "It doesn't say anything about cinnamon!" I exclaimed snatching the cinnamon container out of Justin's hands.

"I just assumed you did. I mean don't you always put cinnamon in baked goods."

"No, smarty pants!" I said and pulled his pants up.

"Your messing with my swag!" Justin complained "fixing" his pants.

"Your too full of yourself." I said simply, knowing that it would bother him.

"I am so not full of myself. I am down to earth and humble!" He argued.

"Well you sure are closer to the ground than most!" I joked. Then ran out of the kitchen to escape Justin. He caught me in his arms and lifted me up. "Justin put me down! This can be charged as harassment!" I yelled laughing. We flopped down on the couch and Justin said.

"I'll have you know that I am five foot eight!"

"Average height of a woman!" I coughed. Justin and I started laughing and kissing. Things finally seemed to be getting back to normal. We spent the rest of the day playing some intense Mario Kart!

I woke up the next morning and got ready and ran into the guest bedroom. Justin was fast asleep. I have never see hotter abs in my life.

"Justin wake up!" I yelled whipping the covers off of him.

"Why!" Justin groaned and then sat up.

"Because I love you!" I exclaimed innocently.

"There is no love involved with what you just did!" Justin said and then got out of bed. He wrapped his arms around me and kissed my forehead. Justin got ready and then had to leave to work. It was kind of lonely until I found this super funny group of boys called the janoskians on youtube! They were hilarious! One of the boys looked really familiar and then I remembered that he was Ariana Grande's boyfriend.

The next morning Selena came home and she gave me my audition script for the movie.

"This is so exciting!" I exclaimed giving Selena a hug. I studied my script until I had It memorized. I was finally going after my dreams!
