Chapter 20

"No Brian don't do it!" I scream tears streaming down my face.

"You should've stayed with me Kate. You caused all this." He says raising his gun up. He laughs and then aims it at Justin.

"Nooooo!!!" I scream as he pulls the trigger.

"Kate! Kate wake up!" I hear Justin yelling. My eyes snap open and I see Justin staring down at me. I start to cry as he gathers me up in his arms.

"It was just bad dream." He whispers kissing my forehead.

"I don't ever want to lose you again." I say as tears blur my vision.

"Your never gonna lose me Kate. I'm not going anywhere." He says hugging me. "I love you." He whispers kissing the top of my head.

"I love you too." I reply hugging him back.

"Justin!" I call as I walk downstairs. Where is he? I quickly check the mini theater and living room. "Justin!" I yell and then notice a single candle lit in the middle of the pool deck. I slide the door open and step outside. "Justin?" I call uncertainly as I make my way over to the candle. There's a little note taped to candle. Shakily in pull it off and open it.

Go to the first place I sang to you.

I smile and walk to the garage. I Would is playing and there's another candle with a note attached to it. This is honestly just so sweet.

Go to the first place we met.

I get into my car and drive to the alley way. I turn my lights off and see the small candle illuminating the dirty and dingy alleyway. I lift up the candle and the memories of that night flow back into my head. I was so scared, turning back kept flashing in my mind. But something told me to keep going. This is where it all started, this is where I met the love of my life, in a dirty, dingy, gross, and very sketchy alleyway. This is where my life changed.

I open the note and smile as I read the words.

I love you with all my heart Kate. This is place where my whole life changed. When you bit my hand I felt this spark and I knew you were the one. I didn't even know who you were, but I knew you were the one. That's never gonna change because for as long as I live you will always be the one for me.

Go to the place we had out first kiss.

My heart just bursts with joy at his words. I climb back into my car and drive to Selena's grinning like an idiot. I keep glancing down at the note and rereading those words; your the one for me. I pull up in Selena's driveway and jump out of the car.

"Kate!" Selena exclaims throwing the door open. "I'm assuming your here for the mysterious candle!" She exclaims wiggling her eyebrows. I laugh and nod my head. She ushers me inside and shoves me out the back door to her pool. I walk over to the candle and pause before i open the note remembering that moment where our lips touched. In that moment I fell in love with him.

"OPEN IT ALREADY!!" I hear Selena shout pulling me out of my thoughts. I roll my eyes and pick up the note. I quickly unfold it and read the contents.

Go to the place we had our first date.

"What does it say?" Selena asks walking up to me.

"Your telling me that you didn't look." I say.

"Justin made me promise." She mutters. I laugh and make my way to my car. "So your not gonna tell me!" She whines.

"You'll just have to guess." I say smugly.

"I should have just looked!" She grumbles under her breath. I laugh and get in my car. Selena gives me the evil eye as I drive out of her driveway.

I'm super curios as to what Justin is doing. But if I know one thing for sure, I'm enjoying it!

I park my car in the restaurant parking lot and hurry inside to escape all the paparazzi.

"Ms. Dawson, this is for you!" A waiter says handing me an envelope.

"Thanks!" I say as I open the letter. I frown and turn the letter over. It just has an address on it. I head back to my car dodging all the paparazzi. I program the address into my gps and head towards my mystery location.

I arrive at a lovely field it's getting dark and the start of a sunset looks beautiful. I step out of my car and smile as I see a path of rose petals. I follow the path smiling once again like a crazy idiot. I follow the petals up a hill. There's a huge oak tree and at the base is a romantic picnic. I walk around the tree and see Justin.

"Justin!" I exclaim and jump into his arms. He leans in and kisses me sweetly sending sparks down my spine. "This was so... Awesome!" I exclaim hugging him.

"I wanted to create a perfect moment but I also wanted you to remember all our other perfect moments. Because all those perfect moments are the reason we're having this moment. So now I want to ask you this the right way." He says and gets down on one knee. My heart skips a beat and I can feel tears brimming my eyes. He pulls out a black ring box and flips It open. "Will you marry me Kate?" He asks.

"Yes!" I shout with happiness. He slips the ring on my finger and envelops me in a hug.

"I love you." I say then kiss him.

"I love you too." He replies and kisses me. I kiss him back knowing that I wouldn't rather be anywhere else. Because for as long as I shall live Justin will be the one for me.
