Name: Birch Riley
Age: 16
District: Ten
Appearance: Birch has muddy brown hair, and light brown eyes. His eyes are mesmerizing, almost if they can stare into your soul. But not literally of course- just in a way that makes you feel pity. He has originally pale skin, but it has been lightly tanned from working in the fields of District 10 all day. It’s not often that Birch will ever smile, let alone smirk, but when he does, you’ll be surprised.
Personality: Birch is very quiet, for he lost interest in speaking long ago. He had once said, “Don’t waste your breath on unimportant things.” And then those were his last words ever, before never speaking again. No one get ever get him to speak. He didn’t utter a word at the reaping either. Birch is boring, yes, but that doesn’t mean his thoughts are boring too. One thing that makes people underestimate him is that Birch is colour blind. He was born like that. When he was younger, the condition used to be Deuteranopia, a type of colour blind where you cannot see the green-yellow-red parts of the spectrum. When he got older, the eye condition got worse, resulting in Birch seeing nothing in colour. Everything to Birch is now grey. He lost hope, and then became a boring quiet boy, never talking to anyone again.
Three Traits: Birch is very quiet and humble, often acting mute. Birch is boring on the outside, but it’s only because no one can see what goes on inside his head- which has some awfully crude thoughts. He is colour blind, and is now not able to see anything properly in colour.
Token: A grey marble, which Birch has no problem looking at. It’s one of the only things he can see normally, and to Birch, the marble symbolizes that he has a chance in winning.
