The rest of the day at the daycare center went pretty smoothly and Dongmin listened fairly well for the rest of the time being. It was just a few minutes before the children, who were currently having their own abc battle with each other to see who can say the most letters in the alphabet, had to be picked up. Donghyuck was quite nervous. He did not know what to expect from Mark when he realizes the red head working here. He was even more nervous that Dongmin might tell Mark that he is his papa when he is not ready for the older to know just yet.

Taeyong seemed to have sensed his uneasiness as he placed a hand on his shoulder to squeeze it gently while giving him an assuring smile that everything would be just fine. Donghyuck bit his bottom lip and slowly nodded his head while the first few parents entered the daycare center to pick up their children. The anticipation of Mark coming to get Dongmin was killing him. "If you want, I can talk to Mark about how Dongmin did today," Taeyong suggested as Donghyuck shook his head while sucking in a breath. "It's okay, I need to at least start with this."

Donghyuck knew that as soon as he sees the older, he might freeze up or try to run away. But he should at least inform him on Dongmin's progress for a start. Besides, maybe Mark might not even remember him. His heart was pounding in his chest as he continued to bit his bottom lip which drew a bit of blood. When Donghyuck saw Mark stand by the door, he instantly turned around so that the older could not see his face and he did not even give himself a chance to register what the older looks like now. So much for not trying to hide or avoid the situation, huh?

Taeyong noticed this with his peripheral vision as he called for Dongmin to tell the boy his father was here to pick him up. Dongmin looked at his daddy who gave him a little wave, making the boy smile and look back at his papa who was not paying attention to the scene. Dongmin waddled over to Donghyuck and wrapped his small body around the tanned male's leg as the red head felt tears in his eyes for the nth time. He does not know why he gets so sensitive and emotional when it comes to this. Donghyuck really did not want to part ways with Dongmin. He knew he would see his son again tomorrow, but it was not the same as it would be coming home with him or to him.

Mark was just watching the interaction between his son and his teacher, tilting his head in adoration since he thought it was cute that Dongmin was attached to his class setting. But what Mark really did not know was that the reason for this is because Dongmin is also the boy's teacher's son. He did not think anything of it as he just smiled and waited for Dongmin to come to him while Taeyong walked over to Mark to initiate conversation so that Donghyuck had a few minutes with his son.

Donghyuck kneeled down on his knees to look at Dongmin, clearing his throat and making sure no tears escaped from his eyes. Dongmin looked at Donghyuck like a cute little pudu, making the tanned male coo internally. He reached out and placed a hand on top of Dongmin's head and one on his shoulder before speaking, "I'll see you tomorrow, okay? Can you be good while papa is working?" Disregarding the question, Dongmin pouted.

"Papa no come?" Dongmin uttered as Donghyuck smiled sadly with a shake of his head. "Not yet, but I will still see you here everyday!" Donghyuck tried to cheer his son up who dropped his gaze from hopeful eyes to sad ones. Donghyuck's heart clenched at the sight, pulling the little boy into his arms and hugging him tightly. "Papa needs a little bit more time and then we can always be together."

Donghyuck felt the little boy nod against his chest, "I love you so much, Minmin." Donghyuck kissed the top of the little boy's head. "I wove papa!" Dongmin wiggled himself from Donghyuck's grasp with a cheerful smile which made the tanned male beam. Donghyuck peeked his head around to see Taeyong and Mark in a small conversation as he turned back to his son. "Be good for daddy, okay?" Donghyuck commented as Dongmin flashed a cheeky little grin, the single dimple on his cheek forming.
