Donghyuck made it to the daycare center. He is not necessarily assigned to work on the weekends but he needs the money and ever since Dongmin appeared in his life again, he was even more motivated to come in to see his son. He loved all the children. Donghyuck went to the teacher's lounge to grab his ID badge and hang it around his neck. Taeyong was already in the classroom organizing coloring sheets before Donghyuck walked inside.
"Hyuckie!" Taeyong chirped as he set the stack of coloring sheets aside on the counter before going over to give the red head a hug. "You look so cute!" Taeyong complimented as Donghyuck gave a shy smile, moving back to rub the back of his nape with his hand. "I talked to Mark yesterday and we're going to be going out on Wednesday so I figured I shouldn't avoid him when he comes to pick up Dongmin anymore," Donghyuck nervously chuckled as Taeyong patted the top of his head with a nod.
"I'm proud of you. Just take everything one step at a time," Taeyong assured the younger who nodded in acknowledgment. Donghyuck went over to the shelves and cabinets underneath the windows and pulled out containers of markers and crayons. No lesson plan was needed for today since it was the weekend. Taeyong would not torture kids to learn on the weekends and it was bad enough the try to learn during the whole week. How tiring for them! He gives them their rightful break and allows the children to play, a typical daycare that lets parents drop their kids off when they go to work.
It were not many, but children began rolling in—around five of them including Dongmin that entered for the day. Dongmin ran from his grandma and straight to his papa with his arms flailing in the air. Donghyuck giggled at his son as he got down on his knees with wide arms to allow his son to run inside them. "Hi, Minmin! Were you being good yesterday?" Donghyuck asked as Dongmin wiggled his body out of his papa's hold. The two year old was wearing blue overalls and a yellow t shirt underneath, coincidentally matching with Donghyuck.
"Wit gwanma," Dongmin cutely stated with a nod. Donghyuck gave a soft smile as he cupped the little boy's cheeks to give him a kiss on the nose. "Are you excited to see daddy today?" Donghyuck questioned enthusiastically as Dongmin pouted, automatically making the tanned male tilt his head. Dongmin's attention was drawn somewhere else as he giggled while running towards the toys. Donghyuck shrugged his should as he stood back up, monitoring the children as they played with toys and colored.
The day came to an end as parents came to pick up the very few children that were present at the daycare. Taeyong was going through the list of names of the students who have gotten picked up while Donghyuck stood bye the door. Dongmin was asleep on the alphabet rug which normally Donghyuck would have found typical but Dongmin never really slept while he was there. The two year old must be exhausted, Donghyuck thought especially since the little boy skips his naps to play.
The room was silent and all that was heard was the pen in Taeyong's hand make contact with his desk as he wrote. Since the other students left Donghyuck walked over to sit beside his baby, caressing Dongmin's hair gently so that he did not wake him up. "I still can't get over the resemblance," Taeyong whispered with a giggle afterwards, grabbing Donghyuck's attention who smiled while looking at Dongmin. "He's your little twin." Taeyong spoke quietly.
Donghyuck nodded in agreement, "I never realized it until now, but still see Mark in him," Donghyuck honestly spoke in a hushed tone so that he did not wake the boy. "I can see it too. He looks a lot like the both you and it's such a cute mix," Taeyong stated and suddenly, a knock was heard which made the two males turn their head towards the door where the previous mentioned male was standing with a lopsided smile—a smile that always made Donghyuck coo at the older.
Donghyuck looked at Taeyong who nodded with a smile as he then turned back to look at Mark while getting back on his feet, "Y-you can come in if you'd like. Dongmin is sleeping," Donghyuck tried his best not to stutter, but he could not help the nervousness and the butterflies that swarmed in his stomach. Mark was wearing silver circular specs with his black hair messily lain on his forehead. He had on a black fitted t shirt that was tucked into his black jeans while wearing a navy blue flannel that was unbuttoned completely.
