Chapter 31

"Yoona, aren't you coming to uni today?" Jungkook asked, peeking his head at the bedroom only to see the girl still tucked inside the sheets despite him calling her every five minutes for the last hour.

"Kookie, I think I have a fever, I'll just stay home today" Yoona said, cracking her voice a bit so Jungkook would believe her lie.

"Then I'll stay and take care of you" Jungkook said determinedly.

"You don't have to. It's nothing serious, but I'm just using this as an excuse to not go to uni for a day. Just go, when you come back I'll be okay" Yoona said, and Jungkook nodded before leaving her alone.

A few minutes later she heard the front door of her apartment close, but she stayed inside the sheets for a few minutes more, just in case Jungkook came back to grab something he might have forgotten.

When he didn't come back, Yoona slowly got out of the bed, changed into normal clothes and went to the kitchen to eat breakfast normally just as she would always do.

Without a fever.

She texted Yeji to tell her she wouldn't come to uni that day and then texted Namjoon to meet up with him. And she didn't even bother reading the twenty six messages Taehyung had sent her because he was worried about her.

She knew leaving the boy hanging wasn't the best thing to do, but she was way too sleepy to deal with a guy worried for his crush.

After taking her sweet time eating, she got up, went to the bathroom and made herself presentable for getting out in the public world. And before leaving the bathroom, she didn't forget to grab both their toothbrushes and put them in a plastic bag.

Already having bought two new identical ones, Yoona hoped Jungkook wouldn't notice that the old toothbrushes were gone. Even if he did, she'd just tell him that the toothbrushes were too old and needed to be changed.

Namjoon is calling...

"Morning Joon, I'm going out right now. Where do we meet?" Yoona said, while tying her shoelaces.

"The café where we met yesterday. What did you find for us to meet up again this fast?"

"You'll see when we meet Joon, it's a surprise" Yoona smirked, imagining Namjoon's disappointment upon seeing two mere toothbrushes in front of him.

Yoona took out the plastic bag with the toothbrushes and put it in front of Namjoon, expecting his face to drop.

Much to her amusement, his eyes lit up.

"So you agree to the DNA test? Fine then, I'll make sure to make the test secretly and then let you know when the results are out" Namjoon smiled, both dimples showing as his eyes almost disappeared.

"Not like I agreed, more like I didn't find any document regarding my adoption yesterday so I brought these as I am too lazy to search anymore" Yoona shrugged.

Now Namjoon's face dropped in disappointment.

"Are you serious? I'm telling you that you might be adopted, and you're too lazy to search for proof?"

"Even if I am adopted, nothing changes, to me Jungkook is my real brother, my real family and I don't intend to search for my 'real' family which would bring much more drama in my life. I'm happy in my own bubble" Yoona shrugged, then got up from the table, waved at Namjoon and then left.

Around that moment, Yeji fiddled with her fingers.

She was with Jungkook during the break after her first class, and she couldn't help but feel uneasy in his presence, despite the fact that she was also happy to meet him.

"Princess, are you okay? Is there anything wrong?" Jungkook asked, worried for his girlfriend who didn't seem okay to him.

"Nothing, I just miss Yoona" Yeji shrugged, smiling at Jungkook to show that she was okay.

Looking at the time, the two bid goodbye to each other to go to their respective classes.

As she entered her dancing class, she held in a gasp as she realized Mr. Lee wasn't present, but only Jimin.

"Felix, got any idea what's going on? Why is there only Jimin?" Yeji asked the boy as soon as she spotted him nearby.

"There have been some changes in the classes' schedule and the fourth year's dance classes overlap with ours. Mr. Lee went there while Jimin stayed here since they didn't want to make a joined class today" Felix said, while Yeji sighed.

Seems like avoiding him will be a little hard today...

"So, my lovelies, today we're having an assignment in pairs. Each of you grab a partner and then you two will learn the choreo that will show on the screen. You have forty minutes time before I start calling your names randomly. You're getting grades based on your performance" Jimin announced, and the students rushed to their friends to decide the pairs.

"Yeji, let's do this assignment together" Felix suggested, and Yeji nodded, already knowing they would get the best grade.

During those forty minutes, they worked hard and they managed to learn the choreo perfectly, despite it being acrobatic and requiring perfect synchronization. A few students even fell while practising.

"Hwang Yeji and Lee Felix, come on out" Jimin shouted. Yeji sighed, not really wanting to be the very first to perform.

"Let's get this over with" she said to Felix.

"Fighting" he cheered her on, and then they started.

To say Jimin was impressed was an understatement. And it was hard for him to keep his eyes from staring dreamily at Yeji, they were both in class and it wasn't appropriate for the assistant professor to look at his student like that.

Furthermore, she seemed uncomfortable around him.

That's why he waited for the two to come to him after their dance.

"What's our grade, professor?" Felix asked excitedly.

"You were perfect, like always, of course you'll get the best one. What a shame Yoona is absent today, there would be some competition between you three, and I shouldn't have allowed you to pair together, this assignment was a piece of cake for you" Jimin laughed, patting Felix in the shoulder in a friendly way.

"As for you Yeji, I'd like to have a chat with you. Come meet me when class is finished" Jimin said, and he watched her face drop in disappointment, probably because she might miss the break between classes.

"It won't take long" Jimin assured with a soft smile.

"Okay then, see you later" Yeji smiled as well before bowing in respect and leaving together with Felix.
