PUPPY!

"Uhhhh Alec! Why do we have to walk everywhere?! Why can't one of you learn how to drive!" Eva whined and Alec laughed before scooping her up, she had been walking for what felt like ages but really it had only been about fifteen-twenty minutes at most, Eva had on some comfy sneakers and Alec grabbed her backpack and put some fruit snacks in it and a small sippy bottle incase she got thirsty, then he also put Bob in her bag knowing he was in for trouble if he didn't, "I think we should ask Jace to learn how to drive." She said and Alec raised an eyebrow "why not me?" He said and she laughed "you have no patience Alec." And he laughed and scoffed "I deal with you. I have the patience of a saint." He said and Eva's jaw dropped "heyyyy! I thought you dealt with me because you love me!" She said and he smiled "of course I love you, you know I do, your my little princess, I was only kidding with you." Alec said and Eva nodded silently "hey Eva, look at me," he said and she looked up at him frowning "I'm sorry about what I said it was only a joke, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings or upset you, okay?" He said and she nodded and he hugged her close and she wrapped her arms around his neck and he carried her until they arrived where they were going. They were walking to where Alec had tracked Clary to and they saw her standing outside of an art college. Her phone started ringing making mundanes look around and Eva started giggling in her brothers arms, and he was also smiling at the stupidity. He walked up behind Clary "Why'd you run out? And what's the point of an Invisibility rune if you don't silence your phone? That was childish, sneaking out like that..." he said looking at her "not even Eva would so something as stupid." And Clary rolls her eyes and finds her phone in her bag "yeah well she also follows you and the others around like a sheep dog so..." She says and picks it up, "Simon. Hey. I know I should have called you right back. I'm really sorry. Are you okay?" Eva turned in Alec's arms "I like dogs, especially puppies so I don't care about what she said." Eva said crossing her arms making Alec chuckle "that's right... your an adorable little puppy." He said kissing her head making her laugh "well I have my puppy pjs, darn I should have worn those..." she said and Alec laughed "with mom in the institute? She'd have a fit!" He said laughing and Eva laughed too as they watched Clary on her phone call "Yeah, I totally get it. Um, can we talk later? Things are kind of insane right now." Eva looks around where they are standing and she sees a car with people in it and they were looking right at them, she was pointing at the car about to tell Alec when she saw the people's eyes widen and they quickly drove off, "I... I kind of almost got killed a demon and lost all my memories forever. So..." clary says trialling off and Eva scoffed "I wonder why that happened? Maybe because you almost let my Jace get hurt." She said quietly to herself but Alec heard and rubbed her back, Alec's patience was running out with this girl, he wanted to go back to the institute and help Eva work on her reading, then Alec started to walk forward to tell Clary they needed to go, "I'm at the Brooklyn Academy. I'm on my way to..." Alec interrupted her "Hang up. That's it, we have to go. Right now." He said and Clary looked at Alec with a glare "No." before she kept talking to Simon "I'm on my way to the loft. There's something there that I think could help me find my mother." She said and Eva groaned "don't you know how to listen, Alec promised Jace he'd look after you, stop being childish." Said Eva the literal child, "I'm fine. I'm with Alec." She said down the phone, Alec looked around before sighing frustratedly "No, Simon, you've been through enough already." She says and Eva actually agreed with her, most mundanes that saw anything to do with the shadow world they would go insane. They both hang up. Alec looks around at all the mundanes "Mundanes. Look at them. Running around like ants. Let's go." He says shaking his head and Clary looks up at him "Why do you always look so miserable?" She says and both Eva and Alec answered "Hey! He doesn't." "I don't." He said and Clary laughed and smirked at him "You do. It must be hard being in love with Jace and he's straight and everything." Clary said and Eva saw how Alec looked upset by her comment "Excuse me? What?" He said and Eva growled at her "don't you talk to my Alec like that, Carrot head!" She said trying to reach over Alec to hit Clary but Alec grabbed her hand "hey don't hit." He said not really meaning it but he knew if he let her slap Clary he would get it from Jace, "What's the big deal? I was there when that memory came out. Busted, no?" Clary said after sending a death glare to the four year old "We're parabatai." He told her and Eva was still glaring at her "you wouldn't understand," she says to Clary and she rolls her eyes "Alec, just say it, you'll feel better. You're in love with Jace." She says and Alec turns to her pissed off "Forget it. You know what? You're in love with Jace." He says and clary scoffs at him "Oh, okay? The middle school comeback? Nice. Alec, we have a real problem to solve, okay? Come with me." She says walking away ahead "I really really don't like her Alec. She's mean, and rude, that wasn't nice how she spoke to you." Eva said crossing her arms before Alec repositioned her and she was holding onto him like a koala bear facing behind them, "I know Eva, This better be quick or I'm gonna lose it." He said walking behind a bit faster to catch up to Clary and Eva noticed the same car again driving down the street behind them.
