The Apartment-less Warlock

Eva is sobbing and Alec quickly puts the microphone down to kneel down by Eva to check on her as everyone watched the siblings in anticipation "Eva? Eva princess, talk to me what's wrong?" He asks the little girl sobbing into her hands before she throws herself at Alec and puts her arms around his neck and it's then he realises that she isn't upset but she's happy because she's smiling as she sobs into his neck and he holds her tightly and rubs her back as he stands up "I love you Alec." She says and he lets out a nervous laugh and holds her tighter "I love you too Eva, more than you know." He said before pulling back and putting his forehead against hers and rubbing their noses together making Eva giggle like crazy and everyone is the pub cheered as the girl laughed in her brothers arms and Eva turned to look at Magnus who got up and walked up to the duo on stage and Eva reached for him as well and he joined their hug "I love you Magnus." She says to the warlock who starts crying as well "I love you too Eva." He says and the three are in a little group hug when Izzy clears her throat and they break apart and look over at her and everyone begins singing "Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear Eva, Happy Birthday to you!" Everyone in the bar sang and Izzy approached Eva with a elephant cake with a number five candle on top of it and Eva closed her eyes tightly to make a wish and then opened them to blow out the candle and everyone cheered again for the little girl and then the music began playing again and everyone went back to talking, dancing or eating. "Let's go see Jace and Clary shall we?" Alec says and Eva nods and so the three of them walk over to the table and Maryse and Luke are also sitting there and Eva smiled as they sit down. "Well Eva what did you wish for?" Jace asks her and she smirks "a duck to scare you." She says and Jace gasps "what?!" He says now fearful for his life because everyone knew that Jace had a horrific fear of ducks and Eva just burst out laughing "I'm only joking! That's not what I wished for but I'm not telling you!" She says giggling and Jace scowls at her for joking like that and everyone laughs at him before Luke remembers something and looks over at Alec "Alec I found some books in Elliot's shop on the Morganstern sword, I can bring them by the institute tomorrow?" Luke says and Alec nods his head "that would be great Luke thanks." Alec says and the wolf nods and smiles at Eva "you know a lot of my pack missed you kiddo." He says and she smiled "I missed all of you... I missed my family so much... but I missed my Alec most of all... I love my Alec a lot..." Eva says smiling at her brother who kisses her forehead and she smiles "and I love my princess a lot." He says to her and she smiled at him and Magnus smiled at the both of them with love in his eyes for the duo in front of him. Everyone continued talking and laughing sharing stories and Eva saw more of her old friends, Madzie, Maia, Meliorn, Jonah, Lee and Tilly, and of course Simon but now Eva was struggling to keep her eyes open and Alec noticed and smiled down at her before nudging Magnus who let out a quiet laugh " well we better head home because this little piggy needs to sleep." Alec says and Eva grumbles "no she doesn't." She mumbled and everyone laughed as Magnus picked up Bob tucking the elephant into Eva's new backpack that Simon bought her and they began walking back to the institute from the hunters moon after Izzy, Jace and Clary assured them that they would clean up the hunters moon and take everything back to the institute. They arrived back at the institute and Alec took Eva to change into pyjamas which was a task and a half as Eva was fidgeting and whining about everything because she was tired now, so Alec had to fight with her to get her pyjamas on but he managed to get them on her and then he carried her into his room and into bed and Magnus was just getting settled in bed and he watched as Alec carefully carried Eva to bed and he thought it was adorable watching Alec move slowly and carefully as to not disturb his sleeping baby sister in his arms as she clutched Alec's shirt in her little hand keeping him close so he sighed and made the decision to sleep in his clothes and Magnus laughed quietly as he watched Alec get into bed fully clothed only kicking his shoes off and the three were all asleep rather quickly that night as it was one of the first full nights where nothing had happened, they had one day where everything was fine and god did they need more days like that.
