Fly Bob! Fly!

"People will be wondering what we found outside the perimeter." Jace says after they make it into the basement, Simon's body was laying on a table and everyone was surrounding the body as Raphael sat beside Eva who was fixing Bob's bow on a bench "I'll go. I'll tell them we didn't find anything. Nobody will come down here." Alec says as he watches Raphael closely, the vampire was studying the charm in Eva's hair with a smile on his face "who gave you this." he says to her and she looks at him with a smile "Magnus did." she tells him and he nods smiling as Alec leaves and Raphael looks around at everyone else before clearing his throat "I might be a vampire... but I was raised a good Catholic." He says and makes the sign of a cross. Eva was curious what that was but before she could ask Izzy spoke up "The Vampires breached the Accords. Killing Simon is grounds for war." she crossed her arms and Raphael shook his head "The Vampires were not behind this. Just Camille. She attacked Simon on her own." he tells them and that made Eva upset, the scary lady hurt her friend "and how do we know you're telling the truth?" Jace asks and Raphael looks over at the blond "I could have gotten rid of him, but instead I brought him here. I don't want trouble with the Shadowhunters." he said honestly and Izzy nodded and Eva smiled "Smart decision." Izzy said and Raphael sighed looking at Simon's body "I warned the mundane to stay away... but Camille gave him a taste of her own blood, and like an addict... he came back wanting more." Raphael said and Eva was staring off into space a little bit, she still held Bob in her hands but she was too distracted thinking about something to really realize what was going on around her. She was pulled from her thought's by Clary's dulcet tones "The only reason Simon ever tasted Camille's blood is because of you! You kidnapped him! You drug him to the Hotel DuMort. You... You delivered him to Camille!" she shouted at him and he looked between Simon and Eva before looking down regretfully "I never meant for this to happen. I swear... I was just following my orders... I didn't know that Camille would do something like this I swear." he said and Clary was sobbing over Simon's body, and it was beginning to give Eva a sore head "Simon. Simon, please come back, please!" she kept repeating and it made Eva groan "does she have an off switch?" Eva asked as she covered her ears, it made Izzy hide a smile behind her hand whilst Jace just smirked at her.

The way that Raphael sat allowed Eva to see inside of his suit jacket and she saw what looked like paper so she gently placed Bob beside her and reached her hand in and pulled it out before Raphael could say anything about it, she opened it to see her wonky drawing of a man in a blue suit with big red lips and the two dots for eyes, Eva gasped with a smile on her face "You kept it!" she said happily and he nodded "of course I did." he said and folded it up and put it back into his inside blazer pocket and Izzy watched their interaction together curiously, Clary was still sobbing and it was getting on Raphael's last nerves with his enhanced hearing so he spoke up "There is a way." he said and Jace looked at him curiously unfolding his arms whilst looking at the vampire "'A way' what?" he asks and Raphael looks to him "A way to bring Simon back." he says and Clary's eyes fly up to look at him "You can do that? How? How?!" she demanded and Eva looked at her "if you give him a minute he'll tell you." Eva says and Clary glares at her making her pick up Bob and fiddle around with him for a bit as Raphael looks at Clary but also subtly moves closer to Eva which Izzy and Jace both notice. "He's a fledgling. It's a state of transition. Your friend can be resurrected." he explains and Jace instantly shuts it down "No." he says and Izzy agrees with Jace looking towards the red head "Clary, no." she says to her and Clary isn't listening to her because she is focusing on Raphael "So I could have Simon back? Alive and breathing?" she asks and Izzy speaks up again trying to make Clary understand "That's just it. He won't return alive or breathing. He'll be a vampire." she says and Jace nods "And not the sexed up, romantic kind. The ugly, bloodsucking, coffin-dwelling kind." Jace says and Eva gives her brother a look "Jace that's mean!" she says the same time Raphael says "That's offensive." and Jace just looks at him with a raised eyebrow "Really?" he says and Raphael nods dead serious "Coffin implies wooden box. We have caskets now. They're made of 14-karat gold." he says and Jace scoffs "My bad." he says sarcastically and Eva just looks at Raphael as she stops playing with Bob "Are they comfy?" she asks and Raphael nods "they are actually..." he trails off looking towards the window "It's almost sunrise. Simon must be turned into a vampire tonight or staked through the heart." he tells the shadowhunters and Clary looks at him whilst crossing her arms, "And if I do neither?" she asks and Eva was the one to give her an answer but she never looked at her, she was still playing with Bob's ears "His soul will be trapped for eternity." she said and Raphael nodded at her answer  "You have till sunset to decide. The clock is ticking." he said and Izzy walked over to Eva "C'mon lets go find Alec or Max." Izzy tells her whilst picking her up and she holds Bob in one of her hands and waves to Raphael with the other "Bye Raphael!" she calls out to him and he smiled and waved back "until next time pequeña." he says and Izzy takes her back through the institute and they run into Alec, "Mom and dad want to see us now." he says and Izzy sighs but nods.
