Izzy and Simon reunite with Alec, Eva, Jace and Clary in front of the Jade Wolf. "Clary!" He calls out seeing the ginger "Simon!" She says as they hug "Oh, my God." She says and then they pull back and he looks at her "Are you okay? Wait where's Eva?" He says worried and Eva runs over "Dane!" She hugs his leg and he pats her head "I was so worried." Clary says and Jace steps forward to speak to the trio "I hate to break up this little reunion, but we got a bunch of werewolves trying to kill us so maybe we should get going..." Jace says and Clary stops walking for a minute "Wait, wait, the box. My backpack. I think I left it at the loft." She says and Alec shakes his head "No, we've got it. I didn't screw up everything." He says and Eva walks up to him and holds his hand "you didn't screw up Alec." She says and he smiles at her, she hears Jace scoff, she hopes that Jace didn't blame Alec for what happened "Let's get outta here, then." Simon says going to walk away but Izzy quickly grabs hold of him "Wait, Simon! Whatever you do, do not make any fast moves." She says as they notice something they are completely surrounded by werewolves. "They don't look like nice puppies," Eva whimpers from beside Alec, she squeezes Bob in her hands "This can't be good." Jace says looking around. Jace, Alec and Izzy get their weapons ready. "We're surrounded. Everyone, stay together. Eva do not leave my side." He says "okay Alec," she replies gripping his pant leg with her free hand and Simon steps closer "Believe me, I'm not going anywhere." He says looking at the wolves, they hear a noise and turn to see the door open and the biggest wolf walk out. "Everyone, get back, that's their alpha leader." Jace says before looking down at Eva making sure she was beside Alec, The leader runs towards them. "Jace, behind!" Clary shouts as another wolf comes running and attacks the alpha and they begin to fight. "He's challenging the alpha." Alec says and Eva realises something "He's helping us! It must be Luke!" She says realising it must be the man who helped her escape "Or cutting in line to kill us. It can't be Luke he's not a wolf..." Simon trails off. The fight is over. Theo, now in human form, lays on the ground unmoving. "The alpha is dead." Izzy says looking at the body and the other wolf changes transforms into Luke. "Called it," Eva says and Simon nods "I stand corrected." He says and Clary stands star struck " Oh, my God, Luke." She says and all the other werewolves start howling. They all transform into humans. "What?" Clary says and all the humans kneel. "What is it? What's happening?" She asks and Eva looks around confused "what's going on?" Eva asks looking at her siblings, "When a werewolf kills the alpha leader, he becomes the new alpha. Your friend Luke's the leader of the pack now." Jace explains looking from Eva to Clary "cool!" Eva says smiling, "Clary..." Luke says and Clary wants to go to him but Jace holds her back. "Where's the nice wolf I saw early, they were like a puppy dog Alec!" Eva says and she hears someone laugh before a girl approaches them "that would be me little hunter." She says smiling down at Eva "my names Gretel." She says introducing herself "I'm Eva!" She says smiling "why were you so nice to me before?" She asks Gretel, who kneels in front of her, Alec watched the interaction carefully very skeptical because they did just try and kill them, "I was so nice because I saw this." She said lifting the charm in Eva's hair "your a friend to the down world apparently." She says and Eva nods making the charm fall out of her hand "Magnus gave me that! He's nice and he's sparkly... oh! He's also a warlock! But I have a friend who's a vampire! His names Raphael!" Eva said smiling as she was happy to tell the wolf all about her friends, Gretel smiled and nodded, "well if you really are friends with all the other down worlders then you're friends with me, we could all do with a shadow hunter like you." Gretel said to her as she stood back up and walked back towards her pack, Alec was still thinking about what she could mean "see you around kid." She said "I promised your mother I'd always protect you." Luke says diverting her attention to him but then he falls to the ground unconscious. "Luke no!" Eva shouts and runs over Clary behind her "Luke! Oh, my God!" Clary says, as she runs over, Jace goes to follow them but Alec stops him "Hey! We need to get Clary back to the Institute and stay out of Downworlder business." Alec tells his parabatai who looks at him "Why don't you stay out of it? I'm gonna help Clary." Jace says and Alec shakes his head "We have to report back to our mother." Alec says getting frustrated, "You and Isabelle can do that." Jace says and Simon also walks over to the bleeding werewolf "Luke..." he says sadly and Jace looks at Alec "I'll be fine on my own." He says to him before talking to Clary "His wounds are deep. Only a warlock's magic can cure an alpha's bite." Eva gasps looking up at him "SPARKLES! I WANNA SEE SPARKLES" she shouts "We have to get him to Magnus." Clary says and Jace nods "Hey, that's exactly what we're gonna do. Eva who are you going with?" He says and she looks up at him "she's coming home!" Alec says glaring at Jace but Eva scowls "I'm going to Magnus's!" She says giving her brother a look, "Clary, we gotta go." Simon says, and Jace nods at him as Alec points at Eva "no your not!" He says getting angrier "Yes I am! Why can't I go?" She shouts and Alec marches over to her "BECAUSE I SAID SO, IM IN CHARGE!" He shouts back at her making start crying and she runs over to Jace who picks her up glaring at Alec, Izzy looks at her brother shocked, she can't believe he just shouted at their sister even, the wolves were shaking their head at Alec, Gretel's glaring at Alec "We have to get him to his car." Jace says gesturing to Luke, Clary bends down to help Luke up "I got you." She says to him and Simon gets on his other side "Here, I'll drive. I'm the only one with a mundane license. Come on." He says and Alec and Izzy stay behind. Eva is still crying into Jace's neck, loudly sobbing, she still squeezed Bob tightly in her hands, Izzy turns to glare at Alec "Are you two okay? I mean you just screamed at Eva Alec! You never lose your temper with her." She says and Alec shakes his head "i know Izzy!" He says snapping at her before sighing "I don't know what's going on between me and Jace ." He says watching Clary and Simon drag Luke to the car, all the wolves watching on as their new alpha is dragged before them. "I never should've doubted you." Clary said looking down at Luke, "We never should have lied to you... is Eva okay?" He says being able to hear her sobs from where he was and Simon answered him "I don't think Alec ever shouted at her like that before, she's only four and he just screamed at her." Simon said as they get in the car. "Luke. Luke, hey! It's okay. We're getting you help, okay? Just, please, don't leave me again. I can't have anyone else die because of me." Clary says and Eva mumbled into Jace's neck "she's so dramatic." Making him laugh and get in the car.
