After Alec had spoke with Magnus he had been trying to find Lydia with no success he had asked other shadow hunters but no one had seen the woman so he approaches his mother whilst he has Eva in his arms who is playing with Bob and Magnus waited around the corner "Have you spoken with Lydia? No one's seen her since the wedding." He asks and his mother doesn't respond "Mom, come on." He says fed up and Robert steps forward "Maryse." He says as a warning and Alec sighs "Mom, I understand you're upset, but this is..." he gets cut off by his mother who is still furious "Calling off the wedding would've been one thing, but kissing that warlock in front of the entire Institute? You've embarrassed all of us." She says glaring at Alec who raises an eyebrow "Why? Because he's a guy?" Alec asks and Maryse scoffs "No. The fact that he is a guy, as you say, is the least of my worries." She tells him and Alec doesn't understand the issue "Then what's the problem?" He asks her and Maryse looks at him "That you chose Magnus Bane." She says and Robert steps in "His reputation precedes him. And even for a warlock, he's a bit of a lothario. Alec, there's so much that you don't know about him." He says and Eva rolls her eyes "Sparkles is nice, he's my best friend, he gave me a hair charm and Bob his nice bow, you can't judge someone because of what they are, that's not very polite. Magnus is a good person." Eva says and her mother glares at her "And I plan to get to know him. And if you have a problem with that, then I suggest you deal with it. Now, I have to go find Lydia." Alec says walking away with Eva as Maryse calls after them "She's probably packing for Idris in your father's office. What she did..." Maryse says and Alec turns around cutting her off "Saved my life. So I should go thank her." He says and walks around the corner entering the hallway where Magnus is and Alec meets him "On a scale of one to ten, how unpleasant was it?" Magnus asks grimacing at the thought "Off the charts. Yeah, I've never seen them so angry." He admits to the warlock and Magnus nods his head "Just give them some time." He says and Alec laughs "You're immortal. Time is on your side. After what I did, I don't think they'll ever forgive me." He says and Magnus shakes his head "Don't underestimate a parent's love. You don't regret it, do you?" Magnus asks worried and Alec shakes his head "Everything just happened so fast and I didn't have time to think. I just wanna make sure Lydia's okay. Now I owe her so much." He says and Magnus nods "I like Lydia she was nice to me." Eva says and the two men nod "We owe her. What she did was nothing short of heroic. Hey, look, maybe we can slow things down? Why don't we start with that date you owe me?" Magnus suggests and Alec nods "Yeah, let's do that." Alec says nodding as they enter the head of institutes office "I know this great Ethiopian place on 44th..." Magnus is cut off when they see Lydia lying on the ground "Lydia!" The two lightwoods shout and Alec outs Eva down and Magnus feels her pulse and nods, Lydia is alive and Alec activates Lydia's healing rune. "Go get help." He says to Magnus before he looks to Lydia "You're gonna be okay." He tells her and she moves a little groaning before she gets out one word "Hodge..." is what she says and Eva is confused, was Hodge hurt too? Hopefully not, he was Eva's friend and she didn't want him to get hurt. Medics come in and take care of Lydia whilst Alec texts Jace telling him everything as he heads towards the Ops centre with Eva. Magnus volunteered to stay and heal Lydia, it was the least they could do for her.
