The Consequences

Alec and Magnus are lying in bed, Eva is lying with them hugging Bob close to her and Magnus is watching Alec sleep, he has his arms wrapped around both lightwoods and Magnus goes through Alec's hair with his fingers and he thanks every Angel above for giving him Eva and Alec... his husband and daughter... a few hours later Magnus is at his desk, writing something with a big smile on his face and Alec enters the room with Eva in her favourite elephant onesie, and her hair neatly brushed back and clipped out of her face including the charm, "Good morning." Alec said and Magnus gets out his chair , holding the piece of paper in his hand "Good morning it is. A good morning indeed." He says as Alec kisses him on the cheek and then Magnus holds up the paper, smiling and Eva tries to read what's it saying only understanding some of the words of the piece of paper "What's this?" Alec asks taking the paper out of Magnus' hand and reads it "You are cordially invited to the wedding of Alexander Gideon Lightwood and Magnus Bane." He says before he continues reading some details and then looks up at Magnus shocked "Tonight?" He says shocked and Eva looks at Magnus as well "TONIGHT?!" She shrieks and they both look doubtful that they can pull that off "Why wait even a day longer? After everything we've been through, who knows what crisis will befall us tomorrow." Magnus says with a shrug of his shoulders and Alec sighs "I don't know. I was hoping that maybe we could plan." Alec says and Magnus smirks "When your wedding planner is a warlock, all you need is a little magic and exquisite taste. Ah, all right. First up, location. How about the Taj Mahal?" Magnus says and Eva doesn't quite understand what he says "the what, what, what?" She says and Magnus laughs and kisses her head "The Taj-Mahal." He says and Alec shakes his head "Mmm-mmm." He hums and Magnus nods moving on "Or Machu Picchu, hmm, in the Temple of the Sun?" He suggests as he walks a couple steps away, picturing his and Alec's wedding and Alec steps behind him with a happy look on his face and Eva is just happy that her brother is happy so she is quite content in his arms holding Bob who is smiling at her "Or how about the Institute?" Alec says and Magnus turns around raising his eyebrow "Right. Because when I think romantic, I think of the New York Institute. How about Ladera in St. Lucia? Overlooking the tropical sea. Portals will shuttle in guests, and we can..." Magnus answers him sarcastically before he begins to ramble on and on before Alec cuts him off "Magnus, just think. The Clave would have to honor and celebrate a relationship between a warlock and a Shadowhunter. Under their own roof. I mean, think about the message that would send to others like us." Alec says and Eva watches as Magnus thinks about it, then smiles "All right. The Institute it is, then. I'll send out invitations and begin preparations. Tuxedos?" Magnus asks him and Alec smiles at him "I do like you in a tux." He tells his warlock fiancé and Eva giggles "Mmm. Why mess with success?" Magnus jokes and Alec has a big dorky smile on his face. "What?" Magnus asks and Alec shakes his head "It's just, all these hundreds of years, I can't believe you've never been married." Alec says to him and Magnus comes closer to Alec and wraps his hands around the back of his neck being careful of Eva who is happy to snuggle in close to both men "Well, I've never met anyone like you." Magnus says to him and the two adults share a kiss before they pull back and Magnus looks down at Eva "and I've never met a little girl like you." He says rubbing his thumb on her cheek and she smiled and leans into his hand which makes both men laugh at her and Alec looks back up at Magnus "I have to go to the institute for a while to get some things sorted out, Eva could come by later to visit?" Alec says and Magnus nods his head "maybe little miss Lightwood can help me with the cake tasting?" He says and Eva gasps and nods her head "I wanna help eat cake!" She says happily and Alec laughs at her and kisses her head "your too cute Eva." He says and Magnus laughs as well nodding "we'll see you later Mags. I love you." Alec says walking towards the door with Eva "love you both too." Magnus calls and Eva waves over Alec's shoulder and blows him a kiss and she watched as he dramatically caught it holding 'it' to his chest and she giggled.

Alec is pacing in his office, touching the engagement ring that's on his finger and Jace enters with a big smile on his face and Eva looks up from her work book as Alec turns to him, smiling as well "I guess you heard." Alec says and they both hug each other before Jace nods his head "I sensed it long before I got the invite. Alec, congratulations. I'm so happy for you." Jace says and Alec is still smiling at him "Thank you. You know, Magnus is taking care of everything." Alec tells him and it makes Eva giggle as well "Right." Jace says and Alec quickly looks over at Eva before looking back at Jace "But there's a few things I have to do. Like asking you to be my suggenes." Alec asks him and he laughs a little bit "Again?" He says and Alec also laughs remembering the first wedding that didn't go too well, with Lydia in the institute as well and he nods his head at Jace "Again. Yeah." He says and it causes both of them to start laughing and Jace puts his hand on Alec's shoulder and smiles at his brother and parabatai "Alec, of course." Jace says and Alec's smile falters a little bit "Uh, plus, there's something else I wanted to tell you. I'm gonna be moving into Magnus' apartment with Eva..." he says and Eva looks up at him instantly, she didn't know this information "we are?!" She says shocked and Alec nods his head and Jace takes a second to process the information before he answers "Oh." Is all he says and Alec becomes worried "It's not a problem, right?" He asks and Jace immediately shakes his head "No. I mean, there's no rule that says the head of Institute has to... Has to live on-site. Right?" Jace says and Alec nods his head "Right." Alec says and Jace nods his head looking over at his baby sister who is showing Bob two different coloured pens before he watched the elephant grab one in his trunk and Eva nodded putting the other one down "Just, um... don't be a stranger." Jace says when he looks back at Alec who nods his head instantly now knowing what his brother was worried about and wanting to reassure him that he will still see him and Eva "Jace, you're my parabatai. Wherever I go, you're right there next to me." Alec says and Jace hugs him again before he comes over to see Eva "hey tiny, make sure you still come visit your big brother Jace when you go to live with Alec and Magnus eh?" He says to her pushing a few loose stands of hair back into their clips and Eva stops her workbook to smile at Jace "of course I will, your my Jace." She says and he picks her up and holds her close kissing her forehead before he puts her down and she looks over at Alec "can I go and get some more pens from Izzy's room in my craft box?" She asks and Alec nods his head "straight there and straight back, you hear me?" Alec asks and she nods her head and takes Bob with her hugging him between her arms.
