The Clashing Memories

Izzy's friend has sat down with the Jace and the Lightwoods and Eva is staring at him as if she's studying him "So, what kind of doctor are you?" Alec asks to try and get to know the man who introduced himself as Charlie "Pediatric surgeon." He says and Jace looks over at him "You work with children." He says and Eva decides to sit with the Owl so she gets up and runs around to Jace who sits her on his knee and keeps an arm around her protectively but it confuses Alec not that he didn't like that Eva was sitting with their brother but she always sat with him not Jace and it was confusing Alec because she had been acting funny the whole day, first with their mother earlier then when he asked her about Bob and then when they were ordering food, he was going to keep an eye on her and ask Magnus to check her over, he thought that maybe the potion Magnus gave her was effecting her mood or something "Yeah, well, kids love to break their arms, run into coffee tables. And not everybody heals as fast as Isabelle." Charlie tells them and Izzy laughs a little "Yeah." Lifting her hand to her forehead "The magic of make-up." She says and Eva is looking around now "Anyway, Isabelle's told me about the family business." Charlie says and Alec panics "What exactly did she tell you?" He says with slight anger in his voice, "Is the jewelry thing a secret?" Charlie says and Eva zones back into the conversation "Oh. Jewelry. She told you we're jewelers." Eva says with a grin that makes the doctor feel uneasy at how he's being stared at by a toddler "We prefer to think of ourselves as artists." Maryse says instead and Izzy sees Alec's smile drop as he looks at his phone "What is it?" Izzy asks him and he shrugs it off putting his phone away "Uh, it's nothing. I just need a refill. Excuse me." He says getting up from the table and heading towards the bar "Who's up for some dessert?" Maryse asks and both Jace and Eva shrug their shoulders and answer at the same time "Sure." They say together as if they were the one person "I am." Izzy says and before they can open the menus again they hear a familiar voice "Maryse Lightwood? At the Hunter's Moon?" He says with a smirk "Lucian." Maryse nods and Eva thinks about who this person is to her if she's keeping up the facade "We should get another round." Izzy says and that's when Luke notices Eva "hey-ey kiddo how you doing?" He asks her and she is silent for a minute before she answers "just fine thank you." She says before Izzy, Jace, and Charlie leave the table to let Maryse and Luke talk and Jace holds Eva as Izzy approaches Simon at the bar. "You have to hurry up owl, we don't have all the time in the world, Mother's patient but let's not take too long to bring back my brother." She whispers to Jace who nods his head "understood." He says and Maia approaches them "hey Eva what can I get you guys?" Maia says and Charlie is confused "is it normal for bartenders to know toddlers." He says trying to be funny and Maia and Jace both give him a look "Eva is a very well known little girl here, we're like a small family." Maia says and Eva gives Charlie a grin but it leaves him feeling uneasy as he nods his head "so are you also siblings." He points between Eva and Jace "yes she is my little sister," Jace says as Maia watches Eva's face, she has a funny feeling about how Eva is acting because usually she would've said hello by now, Taito had been in the hunters moon all evening and Maia had seen Eva look over at him multiple times but she never smiled or waved at him which made Maia feel confused because she was convinced that Eva loved going to speak to Taito and the others, Izzy had came back to the others but she had a blood splatter on her arm that Charlie pointed out concerned and Eva just smiled looking towards her sister as Izzy wipes the blood spatter off of her arm but Jace looks annoyed because it's taking so long to get his victim and Eva notices "calm down because your annoyance is showing on your face and you don't want to blow it and upset mother... do you?" Eva says with a dark undertone to her voice and Jace subtly shakes his head and Eva grins "Oh, this? You know, I tend to get nosebleeds. It's something that kind of like, you know..." Izzy says and Eva just gives Charlie a sweet smile "so terrible." She says and Jace stands by the bar, waiting as Charlie looks at Izzy "I'm not stupid. What's going on with you?" He asks her and she shakes her head "Nothing. Really. I'm fine. Come on. Let's get dessert." Izzy says and Charlie follows Izzy back to the table, Leaving Jace angry until he notices someone new enter the hunters moon, it's Luke's new partner "found a new target already owl?" She asks and Jace grins down at her "pretend to be sleepy." He says and she nods as he picks her up and walks over towards the table "I'm gonna get her back... she's very tired ya know." Jace says and Maryse nods giving Eva a quick forehead kiss that she pulls back disgusted and Maryse looks confused as Eva turns away from her hiding in Jace's neck as she felt disgusted with this woman kissing her head, only her mother could do that! Mother would be so mad that one of the imposters did this! "She's just really tired." Jace said and Maryse couldn't help but feel like maybe something she said or did had had an effect on Eva's mood, the last thing she wanted was for Eva to turn against her because of everything she had done in the past.  Jace leaves the hunters moon and Eva immediately rubs her forehead in disgust "uhhhh why just why?!" She complains and Jace laughs "your being dramatic." He says and she huffs and crosses her arms as Jace turns down an alley and puts Eva down and transforms into the owl making Eva grin widely and clap her hands and the owl picks her up and jumps onto the roof before catching sight of Luke's partners car and following it before he puts Eva on his back and she holds on tightly as he jumps on the hood of her car, Ollie screams and she looks down and grabs her gun, and the owl quickly gets off her car and runs to an alley to hide and Ollie gets out of the car, gun ready and the owl gets ready to attack her and puts Eva down and she smiled watching him get his final victim, she watches ollie turn and see the Owl is in front of her. He throws the gun out of her hand and grabs Ollie by the throat, lifting her up, Eva grins and claps her hands excitedly as Ollie struggles and The Owl throws Ollie into the alley where Eva is standing "Run little girl!!!" She says to Eva who just laughs insanely "and why would I do that silly? Have you met my owl... he's very good at his job and he needs you to finish it..." she grins walking towards Ollie who shakes her head "No..." she says as the Owl leans over her and starts possessing her soul just then Clary appears in the alley, her blades out "Stop!" Clary calls out before she sees the little girl who she had grown to care for, "Eva?!" She says shocked and the little girl giggles and waves as the Owl stands up and Ollie's body is shaking, Clary recovers from her shock and throws her blades at the Owl, who dodges them and Eva moves out of the way but just when the Owl's about to throw a blade back at Clary, Magnus jumps in front of her and fires off his magic and it causes the blade to end up in a wall. That angers Eva because these people are interrupting her owl's mission! Magnus charges his magic, but he's forgetting that Eva has magic too and she steps forward blasts Magnus against a wall and Magnus looks over and sees Eva and paled "No... Eva stop this! This isn't you! Lilith has corrupted you! You have to remember who you are! I know your memories have been messed with but please remember who you are! Think about your family! Think about Alec!" He cries out as he looks at the little girl who he had come to love as his own, he looks at her eyes that usually turn white when she uses magic but now they are pitch black, she freezes for a minute she can hear her voice again in her head begging for her to stop, she could hear someone hysterically sobbing in her head and she shakes her head trying to silence it and Magnus notices because he magic is being affected by it and she growls in anger at the way it's distracting her "Your Lying! Mother is my family! Jonathan is my family! And I will get my brother back! Mother loves me!" The four year old shouts as the Owl and Clary make eye contact but then, gunshots sound and Eva looks over and see they are fired by Luke and she sees the Owl is out for just a moment and gasps stopping her magic and rushing over to her owl "OWL!" She cries out and Luke shakes his head "oh no... not you too." He says as the Owl quickly stands up again and then... morphs into Jace and Jace, Clary and Luke are in shock "Oh, my God. Jace. It's you?" Clary says in shock but Jace looks at Clary, then back at Luke and sees that there is no escape so he scoops up Eva and uses his Owl skills and he climbs the wall and jumps onto the roof, with one last look at Ollie as she stands up, cracks her neck and disappears in a flash "It was him all along." Clary says before beginning to chase after them and Jace is running on the roof and whilst Eva held onto him tightly and he stops to look over the edge and grunts before Clary appears behind him "Jace! Eva!" Clary calls out and Jace sees her, puts Eva down and then attacks Clary, and Jace disarms her of her blades and then, he pulls her up by her throat "Jace, this isn't you. It's not Eva either, you know this, she's a chosen one she's not meant to be bad..." Clary chokes out and Jace takes Clary's stele from her hand and throws it on the roof, while holding Clary over the edge of the building "Jace, I know you're still in there. I know you won't kill me. Jace... I love you." She says and for a moment, it appears as if Jace has heard her. He pulls Clary closer to him and Eva doesn't like that he's wasting time "Owl." She says and he looks at her "yes princess?" He asks and she smirks "get rid of her now." She instructs him and he nods his head "right away princess." He says following orders and he turns back to Clary with a smirk "I don't love you. Not anymore." He says before Jace holds her out, and then drops her and Eva looks over the edge as Clary falls, and watches as she falls onto a car that's parked in an alley, crashing the window and leaving a big dent in the roof, she smirks and looks at her owl "I want to see my mother." Eva says and the Owl nods his head and picks her up and heads to Lilith's head quarters.
