Zarek shouted out to the dragon, demanding to know why it had come. The dragon responded with a deep demonic voice "I am Zeirsulair, The Void Walker," it bellowed. "What business do mere mortals have in this place?"
Zarek could feel the weight of the dragon's presence bearing down on him, but he refused to be cowed. Stepping forward, he spoke with a voice filled with defiance. "We seek only knowledge and the artifacts of this city. We mean you no harm."
The dragon regarded them with its piercing gaze, its eyes seeming to search their very souls. For a moment, there was only silence, as the dragon considered their words.
Finally, it spoke again, its voice rumbling like thunder. "Very well. Take what you came for this place. But be warned, mortals, meddle in things you do not understand, and you will face the wrath of Zeirsulair."
Khai, Zarek, and Elara exchanged worried glances. They knew they had no choice but to fight the dragon if they wanted to leave the city alive. They readied their weapons, bracing themselves for what was about to come.
Zeirsulair let out a deafening roar, and without warning, launched itself towards the trio, its massive wings creating a gust of wind that nearly knocked them off their feet. Khai and Zarek charged forward, swords in hand, while Elara stayed back, preparing her spells.
Undeterred, Khai leaped forward, his sword poised to strike. But before he could make contact, the dragon unleashed a torrent of flames, the heat washing over Khai and forcing him to dive out of the way.
Zarek felt a sudden surge of power as he drew upon his dark magic, summoning an army of skeletal warriors to aid them in battle. The skeletons emerged from the ground, their bones clattering as they advanced towards the dragon, swords and shields at the ready.
With the skeletons providing a distraction, Khai seized the opportunity to strike at the dragon's underbelly with his sword. The dragon howled in pain, thrashing its massive wings and sending gusts of wind knocking the skeletons aside.
Elara raised her hands, calling forth the power of the wind. The air around her crackled with energy as she weaved her magic, shaping it into a sword made of pure wind. Gripping the ethereal weapon tightly, Elara launched herself forward, using the gusts of wind to propel herself towards the dragon's eye.
Zeirsulair, caught off guard by the sudden attack, tried to dodge but was unable to move quickly enough. With a swift strike, Elara's wind sword sliced through the dragon's eye, causing it to let out a deafening roar of agony. The dragon thrashed about wildly.
Zeirsulair soared high into the sky, its massive wings unleash tremendous force as it prepared for its next attack. Suddenly, an intense burst of energy gathered in its jaws, coalescing into a spear of pure, destructive power. With a roar that shook the very foundations of the earth, the dragon launched the spear towards the center of Yrolk.
As the energy spear hurtled towards them, Elara's voice rang out, clear and commanding. "Come to me, everyone! Take cover behind my light barrier!" With a flick of her wrist, Elara conjured a shimmering wall of pure light, crackling with powerful magic. The barrier shimmered and pulsed, as if alive, Zarek and Khai rushed towards to Elara, seeking refuge from the dragon's deadly attack.
Just as they reached the safety of Elara's barrier, the energy spear struck with explosive force, sending shockwaves rippling outwards in all directions. But the barrier held firm, absorbing the brunt of the blast and shielding the trio from harm. For a few moments, all was chaos and destruction, as the city shook and buckled under the dragon's relentless assault. But when the dust had settled and the smoke had cleared, the trio emerged unscathed, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
