RIN POV
I knew it was broken, and I knew it wasn't gonna be the best of news, but I did not expect this.
'You're gonna need to have surgery. The scans show 2 broken bones in your finger, a crack in the third bone, and the tissue between the first two bones ripped. They will put a small cast on you until we're back home, but you need to go to the hospital as soon as we land.'
Jimin was translating what the doctor was saying, his face going through 10 stages of shock.
They gave me some strong painkillers and put on the cast, immobilising my hand.'Good thing is that we don't have any tournaments for months ahead.' Jimin tries to make me feel better, although he might be feeling worse than me. I know what he's like. He'll say and do anything he can to make me not worry.
'I'm gonna lose all the progress I made.' I trained so damn hard to get to where I am
'I'll just train you back to it. Don't you worry.' Coach Ishijo smiles. I know he's right. He most definitely will.
'I will fall behind everyone else.' I felt my eyes filling up with tears
'Hey, look at me.' He cups my face, 'You could not train for a year and still kick ass. You will be fine.' He smiles brightly at me. I know he's just trying to make me feel better. He always does.
'Let's go back to the hotel. We've got an early flight.'
----
I slept most of the way back. Whatever they gave me last night made me really drowsy. I felt really sleepy and lost. Jimin pretty much pulled me around left and right to where I needed to go. I had no idea what was going on as I slept through the flight back. He woke me up 5 minutes before we landed.
'Rin, baby, we're home.' I heard Jimin's soft voice cooing to me
'Mmmm..' I grumbled a little, not wanting to move
'I know you're sleepy, but we're home. Come on.' He caressed my face softly, making me flutter my eyes open bit by bit
I looked around a bit to realise that we were home home. His mom picked us up from the airport and dropped me off at my place.
'WELCOME HOME!!!'
Loud screaming and popping off confetti scared the crap out of me. I should have known this was going to happen. They did it for Japan open. There was not a chance they would skip doing it for this.
My family, Jungkook, Suri, Youji.. they were all here.
The only problem is that they all started running towards us to hug us and welcome us, and we haven't told them about my hand.'WAIT! WAIT! STOP!' Jimin screamed at them, jumping in front of me so they can't get to me. 'WAIT UP!'
They all flinched a little at him shouting, not sure why he was yelling at them.
'She's injured. Don't jump her.' He explains, holding both of his hands up to stop them
'Rin, honey, what's wrong?' My mom asks, looking worried
'What happened?' Jungkook asks, peeking behind Youji
'I broke a finger.' I sigh
'You what?!' My mom yells
'I'm going to be fine. Please, don't panic, mom.'
'How?' Suri asks
'A knee to the hand.' I sigh. 'It wasn't the nicest thing.'
'That's not even it. We had to put it back twice.' Jimin shudders as he explains. 'We took her to the hospital in France and they told us to get to the hospital first thing when we're back. She needs surgery. It's bad.'
