I didn't realize I was holding my breath until that buzzer went off, and I felt my heart racing with every movement that Jimin made.
Him being him, he didn't wait a second before he launched himself at the opponent, scoring a banging point over his arms, yelling out in duet with the bang of the kick.
I don't think I will ever get tired of watching him fight. He looks unreal. It's truly like watching a movie.
The way he moves is captivating.
This other guy is astounding as well. He is doing crazy spins, and he is as fast as Jimin. But that is to be expected out of the Olympic fighters.
But my focus is Jimin. He is strong. With every attack, his opponent gets pushed back. It looks like a bull ran into him full force.
And there he is.
A crazy 720. Almost took the guy's head off. He missed him just by a millimetre. The round finished with the guy exhaling so hard that you could see it from the stands. His life flashed before his eyes.
Jimin jogged back to the coach and sat down on the chair, drinking water as the coach was talking to him, probably about strategies.
That score is tight. 12-10 for Jimin for the first round. This caregory is way too tough.
'You can do this, handsome. You've got this.' I kept chanting to myself as I watched him rest for that minute between the rounds
Round 2 was about to start, and both of them got called to the centre to get back into their stance.
'KICK HIS ASS!'
My throat might turn out worse than his, but it won't stop me. I've been screaming so loud that it feels scratchy by now.
His first hit was dead on the head. That neryo swipe went into a split before it fell on his opponent's head.
'Fuck me!' Wonhu covered his ears, laughing at me
'You're going to fall over. Stop jumping, you crazy woman.' Hinhyuk tried to calm me down, as if that's gonna work
I heard them, but I couldn't care less.
The opponent went for his head, but Jimin managed to lean back just enough to dodge and score a point under his leg.
As they both have a similar fighting style, it was a bit of a bloodbath. Sick one, but a bloodbath nonetheless.
Jimin spun into the opponent, but he evaded and managed to clip Jimin on the head just the tiniest bit. But it still counts.
They got sent to their corners as the round finished. It was currently 24-20 for Jimin. 2 points bigger lead than the last round, but there is a whole another round waiting.
On the more positive note, Jimin seemed to have a lot more energy. He didn't even sit down. He was standing, and even chuckling at something the coach was telling him. As for the other guy, he was on the chair, breathing deeply as his coach was crouching in front of him, giving him instructions.
'What are you smiling about you psycho?' Sool teases
'He is so friggin coooool!' I squealed and started smacking him on the shoulder excitedly
'I know a good psychiatrist.' Hinhyuk joined in on the teasing
I would have joked along if Jimin's third round wasn't starting.
'What an actual fuck was that?!' Wonhu screamed as we all watched Jimin launch a lightning fast attack to the opponent's head, hitting him perfectly
Thay was so damn fast that you'd miss it if you blinked.
