JIMIN POV
Damn. My head feels like it's splitting apart. And my arm stings a little. And this doesn't feel like my bed. It doesn't smell like the room either.
I tried to open my eyes a little, but the light is too bright.
What is going on? Where am I? I can hear distant mumbling. There is more than one voice, but I can't figure out who's.
'.... scary.'
'Tell me about it.'
'When is he going to wake up?'
I keep hearing a conversation but I don't feel like I can talk. What happened?
Oh, weren't we in the gym? Training?
Yes, that's it. We were sparring. I was fighting with Rin. RIN! Oh, God, I fell on her! I remember!
I feel her hand in mine. She is here. I tried to squeeze her hand but I don't think I did it.
'Jimin? Jimin are you awake?' Her panicked voice cuts through my thoughts. I guess I did move my fingers
'Rin...'
'I'm here, I'm here. It's okay. You're okay.' She takes my hand with both of hers, calming me down
'Is he awake?' I think this is Chen. It's he here, too?
I need to open my eyes. I barely fluttered them open little by little, trying to find Rin.
'Are- are you okay? Are you hurt?' I remember how I fell on her. That must have hurt. 'Did I hurt you?'
'Unbelievable. That's the first thing you ask after fainting?' IyeShi is here as well. Seems like everyone is
I tried moving a little but Rin put her hand on my chest, keeping me down.
'Please don't move. You need to stay still.'
'Are you in pain?' I ask again
'I'm okay. Don't worry about me. You should worry about yourself, you idiot.' She cried. Her eyes are all red
'I'm sorry. I broke my promise.' I promised her I'd be fine even though I knew I wasn't. I didn't feel well for days. And I know she noticed. I saw her watching me and all. I also know I pushed myself too much. She warned me and I still went and did it. She's gonna kill me.
'Yes, you did. And we're gonna talk about that once you're better.' She sniffles
'You scared the shit out of us, man.' Chen tells me with a lot of worry in his voice
'I'm sorry. I think I overdid it a little.' I tried to joke, but no one else found it funny
'You think?!' Iye is like a little angry sister
'Are you sure you're okay? I remember taking you down. I'm not exactly light.' I ask Rin again
'I promise, I'm okay. You just scared the life out of me.' She tells me. 'I knew you were not well. You're a terrible liar. I was gonna tell you off after the class, but you took a shortcut.'
'I'm sorry. I didn't want to worry you.' Guess I did the exact opposite
'Instead of worrying me, you scared me to death. Great job.' She says sarcastically
I chuckled a bit. 'I'm sorry. I'm not going to do that again. I don't even know why I tried. I obviously can't lie to you.' I smiled a little
'You're such an idiot, you know that?' She sighs. 'Don't ever do this again.'
'I won't. I promise.' I give her my hand, offering her my pinky
'You better keep this one.' She pouts but wraps hers around mine
'How long was I out?'
'Over 3 hours. Good little beauty nap you had there.' Shonwu teases
'How are you feeling Jimin hyung?' Royun, bless him, barely speaks to me. He has a crush on Rin so he tends to avoid me. Funny one.
'I'm freezing and I've got a headache. But I'll be okay.' I smile. 'Wait, if I was here for over 3 hours, then it's well past midnight.' They should be in their rooms
'Coach said not to worry about the curfew tonight.' Yuna explains
'Speaking of, can someone tell the coach that Jimin's awake? He asked us to find him.' Rin asks them
'I'm on it, noona.' Of course. Royun.
Chen snickered quietly, watching Royun sprint off. JinWoo just smiled a little, but didn't comment. I think only poor Royun thinks no one notices.
But he did bring the coach.
'Jimin. Welcome back to the land of the living.' He jokes
'Hiya, coach. Nice to be back.' I smile
'So... what did you do to yourself? I'm aware my classes are tough, but I made them calculated so no one gets ill.' He leaned on the bottom of the bed, waiting for me to explain
'Added a lot more gym and running than I needed. I wanted to push my limits further.'
'You didn't push your limits. You obliterated them. I also heard you haven't been eating well.' He didn't even sound like he was scolding me. He was just stating it.
'Never do this again. Do you understand me? You are training way harder than most as it is. You need rest. Not more training. Don't make me take away those passes for your running.'
'No, no! Don't... do that. Please.' I might have overreacted a bit. 'I won't do this again. I'm afraid this one here got to me before you did. I've got enough threats for one day.' I gesture at Rin
'Good, good. I didn't have to worry about you once since you came. Don't make me worry now. Okay?' He smiled
'I won't. Sorry, coach. It won't happen again.' I'd bow if I wasn't laying down
'Okay. Now that everyone has seen him, back to your rooms. Rin, you should go, too.' The way she looked at him was scary. I thought she was gonna start a fight. 'Or not.' He sighs, making the rest of them chuckle
'Even the coach is scared of you.' Chen teases Rin
'Can you blame me?' Coach joined in on the joke. 'Let's leave. Good night.' Coach shooed them all out of the room, following after them, and leaving me alone with Rin
She got up and grabbed a blanket, putting it over me.
'You need to stay warm so you can get better. And I'm gonna bring you some food, and you're gonna eat it. And you're not allowed to go running until-'
'Okay. Whatever you say.' I cut her off. She warned me once and I disregarded it. I'm not doing that again. She knows my limits just as much as I do.
'Yeah. Now you listen.' She sighs. 'Idiot.' She mumbled, tucking my feet in
This is weird. I never had anyone take care of me. When I was sick as a kid, I'd only get beaten up for being unwell. And here she is. Crying her eyes out on my behalf.
'Rin.' I called her name in a soft tone, getting her attention. 'I'm sorry. Truly.'
'I don't care about that. I just want you to be better.' She came closer, hugging me gently, leaning her cheek on my head. I was close enough to feel her heart beating like crazy. She must have been so scared.
'I love you.' I hugged her a little with my left arm, unable to move the right one with the damn needle stuck in it
'I love you.' She sniffles softly, hugging me tighter
Well, I sure made a mess of things. At least I know never to do this again.
