It was still early in the morning when I woke up, but I didn't want to move an inch. The memories of last night kept flooding back into my mind.
The way his lips left an imprint on every little part of my body is still giving me goosebumps. He was so gentle that his touches felt like feathers were brushing over my skin.
My lips feel a little swollen since he barely stopped kissing me. He said it was the only thing stopping him from doing something he shouldn't do just yet. And he kept holding my hand that had a ring on it.
That ring truly never had any meaning. I bought it for decoration from some random shop, and it cost me maybe 3 dollars. But since last night, since he took it off and put it back on, it means everything. And I think he sees it the same way as he wouldn't stop playing with it as we were falling asleep. I still have it on. I need to take this off before I start thinking about all this even more.
'Leave it on a bit longer. Please.' Jimin's soft voice startled me a bit. I thought he was asleep, but I guess I was too lost in my thoughts to realize he woke up.
He took my hand, squeezing it lightly.
'Please.''Okay.' I squeeze his hand back, snuggling up to him a bit more
'Can I take that ring with me?'
That is a weird question.
'Of course. But, can I ask why?' I lift my head a little to look at him'I'll need it for the size one day.' He smiles. Be still my heart.
'I already told you, I don't need a ring.'
'I know.' Is all he said, kissing me on the forehead
*knock knock knock*
'Rin, are you awake? There is a police officer here looking for you.' My mom's voice from the other side surprised me'I'll be down in a minute.' I yell
'Must be about last night.' I tell JiminWe quickly got up and washed up, then went downstairs. A police officer, maybe in his 30s, was sitting with my parents on the sofa.
'Good morning.' Jimin and I bow to him
'Oh, good morning. Miss Min, I presume?' The officer smiles, offering his hand with a bow
'That's correct.' I bow back, shaking his hand
'Lovely to meet you Miss Min. My name is Orun Yang.'
'Nice to meet you as well, and please, Rin is fine.' I smile
'And this is..?' He offers his hand to Jimin
'Oh, apologies. Jimin Park, sir.' Jimin shakes his hand
'That name rings a bell for some reason. Both of your names do, to be honest.' The officer mumbles, but then shakes his head as if to get rid his thoughts
We didn't say anything, trying not to mention taekwondo and all that.
'I have a few questions regarding the incident last night in the nightclub. Would you be okay to answer a few?'
'Yes, absolutely. Ask away.' I smile
He asked a bumch of questions about how I've noticed him, when, what was he doing and such. I explained everything as best as I could, giving as many details as I could recall. Seems he didn't tell much to my parents so they were picking it up on the way, being silent.
It also turns out this guy has been arrested before with the charges of drugging someone. They were dropped for the lack of evidence, but now they have more than enough so he will be put away for a while. Thank God.
'We went through the security footage and CCTV in the club, and to say we were all surprised would be an understatement. You kicked him in the face, as much as we could see.'
'Ah, yes. Well, he got really aggressive and tried to punch me. So I just defended myself.' I look down a bit, feeling ashamed
'Not at all. You've done a great job protecting yourself. The bouncer that was with you backed up your story. He explained the man's behaviour and said he was the first to attack. So, no worries there. This was purely out of curiosity. I was wondering how you kicked him so hard? Do you do any martial arts or anything? Because if I'm not wrong, the shoes you were wearing were high heels, and you had no issue knocking someone out with a kick.' He chuckles, making Jimin giggle a little
'Yes, I am a taekwondo fighter, sir.' I answer sheepishly
'Taekwondo, you say?' He seemed to think for a moment. 'I swear there were some big medals won recently, here in Seoul, actually. I swear I saw it on the TV.'
'Sorry, you said your name was Park, right?' He speaks to Jimin
'Yes, sir. That's right.' Jimin smiles
The little lamp in his head turned on.
'Wait, you- it's you! That's where I know the names from! You were on TV!' He smiles brightly'Y-yes.' I stutter a bit. This is hella embarrassing
'I must apologise, I haven't paid the utmost attention. What was it that you won?' He seems genuinely curious
'World championships, sir.' Jimin answers, seeing how I was quiet
'Oh, wow. Congratulations!' He seemed so excited, bless him
'Thank you, sir.' We both bow a little
'Now it makes sense why he blacked out like that.' He laughs, making Jimin chuckle
'Well, in any case, thank you for your time. Great job on protecting your friend and yourself, and good luck in the future. To both of you. And your children.' He motions at my hand. Crap. I didn't take off the ring. My parents are about to have a heart attack.
'Thank you, sir.' Jimin smiles at him, just going with it. I suppose there is no need to explain it to him.
'Thank you.' I do the same
My poor mom couldn't get off the couch, so my dad saw the officer out.
'I have so many questions right now. But the most important one is what is going on there?' My mom seems to have collected herself and is now smiling, looking at my hand
'I'd like to know, too.' My dad joins in, grinning
'It's not at all what it seems like.' Jimin explains
'He's right. I literally just put this on last night so no one would talk to me in the club. We're not... he didn't... you get it.' I sigh
'Well, crap.' My dad sighs, slapping his thighs
'Be patient, honey. We'll get there eventually.' My mom pats him on the leg, kind of comforting him
I looked at Jimin to see what his reaction was, but he was just surpressing his laughter. He was enjoying this.
'You two are more upset about the fact that I'm not getting married than you are about the fact that I got into a fight in a nightclub?' I raise my eyebrow at them
They looked at each other, then turned to me. 'Yes.' They both say, making me facepalm and sigh deeply, while Jimin was dying laughing next to me
'Thank you for your concern, but you'll wait a while for that. Now, if you'll excuse me, I gotta shower.'
'I'll come pick you up later.' Jimin says
'For what?' He didn't mention anything
'Oh, I'm taking you out.' He grins. 'Be ready by 6.' He kissed me on the cheek, then ran out giggling to himself
'Where..... are we going?' The question was left in the air as he was already gone. 'Lunatic.'
