4 months have passed since I've gotten my invitation to the Olympics, and 8 since Jimin got his. Apart from each other, we haven't told a single soul. It's been eating us alive as we wanted to tell our families and guys in the gym, but we couldn't.
But today, we will be able up.
It's December 1st, and the Olympic Committee is putting out its list of contestants in all sports today. We got the emails just 3 hours ago with all the info.
'We need to protect each other in there. They will kill us.' He paused in front of the door, hesitant to ring or knock. Not that it's different for me. They have no clue and no one is expecting it. It doesn't feel real to us either, and we knew for a while now.
'I'll protect you with my life.' I give him my pinky
'Same goes for me. If they jump, hide behind me.' He wraps his finger around mine and gives me a kiss on the back of my hand. 'Let's do this.'
'This might be the 'till death do us part" part.' I sigh
'I would laugh, but I think you're right.' He took a deep breath before knocking on my parent's house door
'MY KIDS ARE HERE!' We heard my dad yell from the inside, and it made both of us relax a little
'MY SON! MY DAUGHTER!' My dad pretty much threw himself at us straight out the door. You would think he hadn't seen us in years, but we were here only 2 days ago'Hello, Mr. Min.' Jimin laughed, hugging him back, making my dad sigh heavily. He just won't call him by his name, and my dad won't stop nagging about it
'I've had enough of your behavior.' My dad jokes
'Sorry, Mr.Min, but you're used to it.' Jimin pats him on the shoulder
'Can you beat some sense into him?' My dad hugs me
'Too strong for me this one. I tried already.' I joke along
'Let's go inside. It's cold out here.'
That is true. It's freezing. Haven't had the start of December this cold in years. We asked everyone to come over as we wanted to share the news with all of them. Even Ae Mi is here, with her belly up to her teeth. She's 7 months in. 2 more and the baby is here.
'So, what's the big news?' Soo Ho asks, rubbing his hands together. 'I assume it's something big if you asked all of us to gather.'
Jimin and I looked at each other, and he nodded at me with a smile.
'Do you mind?' Jimin asks, taking the TV remote
'Yeah, yeah, go for it.' My mom smiles
They won't broadcast anything on TV, but they will post it on the official Olympic page for the upcoming Olympics, plus we've got all the emails. So, to show everyone at the same time, he wants to screen-mirror his phone to the TV.
'I'm so confused.' Soo Ho mumbles
'Just give him a minute.' I smile at him
'Okay, so, I have no idea where to start, so here it goes.'
He opened up the Olympics list of contentsants and scrolled down a little till he got to the sport.
Seems no one figured out what they're reading exactly. They were looking at the TV completely confused.
'Too confusing?' Jimin asks, seeing how no one's reacting
'I'm sorry, I have no idea what I'm looking at.' Ae Mi chuckles uncomfortably
'I figured.' Jimin snorts. 'Right, I'll explain.' He scrolled back to the top where the title is
