Y/N's POV, 1982

Vince Wharton was my best friend and had been since childhood, we grew up together and were practically siblings, he meant a lot to me and I've always supported him even when nobody else has, when his parents and him got into arguments he crashed out with me and sometimes Tom Bass but as much as Tommy was our friend, Vince and I were totally inseparable.

Vince dragged me along with his life and had a blast doing it, and then when we met Nikki, Tommy and Mick everything changed. The band quickly skyrocketed into fame across the Sunset Strip and then LA, then California, and hopefully soon America and then the world.

Vince might be like my brother but the other guys had become my best friends, and over the last year out of all of them, Nikki Sixx was definitely the man I hit it off with the best and might also be the guy I have a crush on a little bit.

I'd had feelings for Nikki since a few months after I met him but had been attracted to him from the start, I mean how can you look at a man like Nikki and not be attracted to him?

Over the year of knowing Nikki I've noticed Vince get a little more protective of me when Nikki was around, he rarely let Nikki and I be alone together but we found ways to hang out, mainly when we went out to bars when Vince went off to womanise and get trashed, Nikki and I would sneak away from Tommy and Mick to talk amongst ourselves.

By now we'd fallen in love with one another but couldn't really do much about it without Vince knowing about it given we all lived together in Nikki's apartment.

I was never angry or irritated by Vince's overprotective nature but it was an inconvenience because although we'd never spoke about what was between me and Nikki, he saw it and wanted to stop anything from happening to avoid any possible issues in the future Ans make the band messy, and I totally understood that but I think me and Nikki were close enough as friends that if we didn't work out romantically we'd still able to remain civil and good friends.

Today, there has been a band rehearsal like there was most days and there was no show tonight, though there was one tomorrow but that wasn't tonight so when the band practice finished where I sat watching them like usual, Vince and Tommy went outside to smoke before Tommy left to go see and stay with his parents for the night, and Mick just sat at the table we had in the corner of the room to eat at which meant Nikki came and sat next to me while Vin was preoccupied outside.

"I think the coast is clear for me to sit here." The bassist joked as he fell into the empty space beside me.

"Yeah, you're safe for now." I grinned, nodding to where they'd just rehearsed "You guys killed that by the way."

"Don't we always when it's left to you? We could play like shit and you'd still say we're amazing."

"True fans look past your failings and see you for more than just mistakes, you guys have passion and that's what's important to me. It's not about how you sound but... it is nice to not have my ears bleed." I teased, Nik smirked and elbows me in the ribs.

"Bitch. We've never been that awful."

"No, you haven't." I agreed as it was true, they'd never sucked, and I doubt in my eyes they ever could "Did you sit next to me for any particular reason or did you want something?"
