Y/N's POV, December 11th 1983

Tonight Nikki was throwing himself a birthday party, and given the guys had got significantly more money this year than last year, Nikki had gone all out on a party at his house which he'd moved into a few months ago.

There was a lot of things floating around this party, a lot of alcohol and saw cocaine being done in every corner of every room I went into.

I'd been here for only a few minutes so was yet to  find the bassist. I had only known the guys since 1981, since they started rehearsing when the band first got put together by Nikki and Tommy, I lived in the apartment below theirs and often got my life disrupted by the antics they got up too, I never minded too much, not about the band practicing anyway because I liked the music they made, it was when they got rowdy at night that for a little irritating.

That was when Vince joined the band and they started playing gigs and bringing flocks of people back to the apartment and partying until three in the morning, sometimes later. Then when they weren't partying they were just loud and after a few months, one day in the early hours of one morning, they were laughing and playing music too loud and I had to go and ask them to be quiet because I had a double shift the next day and would be working for almost eighteen hours straight because my boss couldn't find any cover at that much short notice.

Nikki answered the door and I explained to him that I'd never said a word about the noise before and although I hated to tell them what they could and couldn't do, I needed to sleep that night more than any other I had in a long time.

I didn't expect him to listen, but much to my surprise as soon as I got back to my apartment and my bedroom, the music stopped and there was silence.

And when I got back from that double shift, I found a note from Nikki stuck on my door apologising for the noise they'd made and if they ever disturb me when I need to sleep again to just go up and say something. I also got an invite to their next show, and that I could just say my name at the door and be let in without any tickets.

And I cashed that offer in, seeing them that weekend. Nikki ended out spotting me and recognising me and taking me backstage with the band at the end of the show and that's how we got talking and how I befriended all the guys.

But I'd always been closest with Nikki.

After wandering around this party for a few more minutes, and having a brief chat with Mick, I finally spot Nikki talking to Stephen and Robbin from RATT.

"Sixx." I called to him and he turned around, looking for whoever called him and when he saw me a dazzling smile spread on his face and he instantly walked away from the two other rockstars without a second thought.

"L/N, I was wondering when you'd show up." He teases.

"You're saying that like I'm late."

"Technically you are, fashionably of course. You look amazing." Nikki smiled when we stood in-front of each other, running his eyes over my form which was decked in a form fitting black cocktail dress.

"Thanks, so do you, happy birthday." I reply, kissing the bassist on the cheek.

The man's smile got even wider if that was even possible and he placed an arm around my waist "Thank you. Do you want a drink?"
