Y/N's POV, 1990

Everything about my life was uneventful, nothing interesting ever really happened to me, the most interesting thing that had happened to me in the last few months was my neighbours cat had kittens, half of them were white with black patches and the other half were black with white patches.

They were adorable and it was strange they were different patterns but it was hardly breaking news or news worthy at all. I didn't ever expect anything interesting to happen to me and given today had started as normally as any other, I got up on one of my days off from work took my roommates dog out as she had work, like I did any morning she couldn't and then dropped the dog back from the walk and went back out for my morning coffee.

My usual coffee shop was about a fifteen minute walk, or could be cut down to ten if I walked fast, but today it took fifteen, I wasn't feeling that energetic. It was pretty busy, but given it was a Friday morning I wasn't surprised, it was always busy on Fridays and weekends.

Some mornings I'd have to be late for work because the queues in every coffee shop around were long but this particular place was packed some days as everyone knew this was the best coffee joint in town and I wasn't going to go to work without a latte from this place, luckily my boss was pretty laid back and understood the coffee struggle which has probably saved my job.

I was stood in line for my coffee, waiting probably five minutes to be served which wasn't at all bad compared with other wait times I've had here, then another five to collect my drink and I kept myself to myself, not paying attention to anyone around me just fixing my eyes onto the floor waiting for my order number to be called out.

When it was time to collect my drink, it happened without incident and I expected to just walk out and leave like any other day however this was when things got interesting, and I think it's safe to say my life changed.

As I started to leave, checking the side of my cup to make sure it was what I'd ordered before I left, I didn't see the guy not looking where he was going and heading straight for me, and as I confirmed the drink was exactly what I wanted I continued walking, but walking unfortunately wasn't in my best interest as I didn't have enough time to stop before me and this guy collided and my coffee ended up all over my jacket and shirt.

I gasp because I wasn't expecting the collision and it was of course hot, not scolding but still hot enough for me to have a reaction to it and as I walked into this man, he realised and as I immediately looked at the coffee now dripping down me he started to apologise.

"Fuck, fuck, shit, I'm so, so, sorry. I wasn't watching where I was going, that's my bad."

"It's okay, it's fine, I should have probably watched where I was going too."

"No, it's on me, totally my fault." The man says and for the first time we look up from the coffee stains and look at each other and this man was the most gorgeous man I've ever seen and I knew exactly who he was, he was Nikki Sixx.

I should have recognised his voice. And now I was kinda starstruck as he was a man I'd admired for a while now, as both a musician and in general.
