I wondered kung anong gagawin namin sa floor na 'to. My mind was really filled with confusion.
Ito kasi yung pinakamataas na palapag ng Hotel de Victoria. Pero tanging yung buong angkan lang ng Campoverde ang pwedeng gumamit nito. It's a very confidential place for us dahil kadalasan dito namin isi-celebrate yung mga mahahalagang okasyon ng aming pamilya pag mawawalan kami ng oras na maghanap pa ng ibang reception area. And, of course, with our guests like closest friends.
Last month, dito din nag-celebrate yung Tito't Tita ko with their 25th Wedding Anniversary with their special guests.
Kaya naguguluhan ako kung bakit dito ako dinala ni Gavin.
"We're here..." saad niya na eksakto namang bumukas yung elevator.
"What are we doin' here?" maang na tanong ko nito. Ngunit 'di siya sumagot, sa halip ay hinila ako palapit sa tabi niya and wrapped his arm around my waist.
"Gavin, what the...?"
He cut me off. "Babe, I'm so excited to meet my future in-laws... C'mon..." He glanced at me with his wicked smile.
What did he say?
Napanganga ako sa mga katagang yun. Oh no...
He gestured me to step outside from the elevator while his hard yet gentle arm still resting on my waist.
Naiilang ako dahil sa kuryenteng dumaloy sa buong katawan ko.
I tried to jerk my body away from him but his hold was too strong to resist.
Oh man, this guy is so dangerous! He is really killing me now.
Literally, I couldn't hold my breath anymore...
Technically, I'm dying...
Supposedly, this isn't part of my entire plan...
I can't fall for him... No.... This is ridiculously stupid!
"Oh, they're here...!" Mom exclaimed.
Mom...?
What is she doin' here?
What the heck is happening here?
I paused for a while, trying to sink those confusions inside my head as what I've seen...
I've seen happy faces of my family, closest friends and even my former colleagues.
Lahat sila nakangiti maliban lang sa isang taong minsan ng nanloko sa akin... si Seth...
At ano naman ang ginagawa ni Seth dito?
Nakakalito ang samut-saring reaksiyon ng kanilang mga mukha. They looked so weird. At maski sila, alam kong nagtataka rin sa naging pinta ng mukha ko. Sino bang hindi magugulat if you will find out that you had no idea what really happened, yet you still want to figure out what is it though the scene had been surprising each minute, isn't it confusing?
"Surprise, Darlin'!" ani Mommy habang nakangiti nang malapad.
"Good evening po, Tita..." ani Gavin at gumanti ng matamis na ngiti sa aking ina. Wait, what? Tita?
Teka, ano ba talaga yung ginagawa nila dito?
"Good evening din sayo, Gavin..." and she was... giggling...? Mom's reactions were really confusing. Mas lalo akong kinabahan habang inikot ko ang aking paningin sa buong paligid.
