Chapter 67 - Trust

Clint created a stupid game that will trap our emotions deeply into a big whole.

I smirked. "Idiot!"

Kumunot yung noo nito. "Why? Hindi ba ako kapani-paniwala? You want a proof? Mr. Amores is an impotent. He can't have his own child. When he was 15 he had a car accident at dahil dun he suffered serious injuries."

Nilingon ko si Seth at nakayuko lang to. What was that mean? Nilingon ko uli yung baliw na Clint.

"Your game is pointless, Angeles! We are smarter than what you think on us." Ayokong maniwala sa kanya but Seth's silence made me feel uncertain.

"Tell him the truth, Amores!" singhal nito kay Seth.

Tiningnan ko uli si Seth at hinintay yung sagot nito. He looked at me with weary eyes. Hindi ko mabasa yung kanyang isipan. But his eyes told me that somehow Angeles was telling me the truth or perhaps he was just pretending to ride the bastard's foolishness.

"Tell him the truth!" galit na namang utos ni Clint sa kanya and I hated this bastard for yelling at my brother.

Seth was right. Kahit baligtarin ko pa ang mundo we're still brothers and I felt the urge to protect him as well.

Nanatiling tahimik si Seth kaya sa sobrang inis ni Clint kwinelyuhan niya to. Sophie stared at me worriedly.

"Take your filthy hand off of my brother, Angeles!" I huffed.

Ngumisi lang to at parang tuwang-tuwa habang minamasdan ang sitwasyon namin.

"Wow! Your life drama is the most stunning film I've ever known," sarkastiko nitong saad.

Nanginginig na yung katawan ko sa sobrang galit. My hands were ready to slit his throat.

I glared at him. "I was never wrong with my judgement to you! Kahit kailan hindi ka talaga mapagkatiwalaan!"

He chuckled. "Yes, you're right! And thank you for that!"

"Clint, please, hayaan mo na kaming makaalis dito. I know you still have goodness in your heart," mangiyak-ngiyak na sambit ni Sophie.

Biglang nagbago yung pinta ng mukha nito. "Matagal ng patay ang Clint na nakilala mo noon, Soph. He was vanished on the day that his only LOVE died in his arms."

"And it's not our fault! No one knew. Kung tutuusin ikaw ang may kasalanan dahil pinaglaruan mo yung damdamin ng dalawang babae." I painted a sarcastic smile on my lips. "Pinagsabay mo pa sila. Lucky bastard!"

Namula yung mukha nito sa sobrang galit kaya bigla na lang tong sumugod sa akin. He tried to hit my face pero nakailag ako. And to his surprise I hit him on the side of his body. Ginamit ko yung lakas ko para matalo siya. Napansin kong sumugod na rin yung mga tauhan nito but Seth blocked their way. Nakipag-away na rin yung kapatid ko sa mga tauhan nito. Kinabahan ako para kay Sophie. Who would protect her?

Lumaban si Clint and he hit my face hardly but it didn't even bother me. When I noticed that Sophie was dragged by one of them I lost my concentration. Pinagtutulungan na rin si Seth. I was distracted kaya nagulat na lang ako when Clint hit me hardly on the face for the second time around. Fuck!

But never on my mind to give up kaya sinuntok ko ng malakas yung kanyang mukha and it bled him. Mas lalo tong nagalit but I'm smarter than him. Bago pa to makaganti sinundan ko ng isa pang malakas na suntok yung kanyang tiyan and he lost his balance. I kicked his leg at tuluyan tong bumagsak.

Nang makita kong nanghina to mabilis kong tinungo si Seth to help him.

"Gavin..." But Sophie's voice caught me off guard. A gun pointed to her head. My chest tightened as I've watched her crying. Nanghihina na rin si Seth.
