"Is she awake—?"

"I don't know—"

"Giselle!"

I felt someone start to shake me awake by my shoulders, and groaned. "Get off—"

When I opened my eyes I felt as though the whole train was spinning, and immediately closed my eyes again.

George slipped his arms around my waist and hoisted me up to sit down.

"Here," my uncle said. "Eat. You'll feel better." He shoved some chocolate in my mouth, and I groaned again. I felt like throwing up.

"And you too, Harry. Eat." My uncle said. "Excuse me a moment..."

He stilled paar Harry and disappeared into the corridor.

"Who screamed?" Harry asked suddenly.

"No one screamed, mate," Ron said nervously.

Harry looked around the bright compartment, and his eyes landed on me. We both looked very pale.

"But I heard screaming—"

"Are you sure you're okay, Harry?" Hermione asked, watching both of us anxiously.

"I don't get it... what happened?"

"Well, it took you first, Zell..." George said.

"That thing— the dementor— stood there and looked around— at least I think it did— and you and Zell..." Hermione trailed off, shuttering.

"I thought you were convulsing or something," Ron said in horror. "You both went rigid and fell out of your seats and started twitching madly. Then Professor Lupin stepped over you, Zell, and pulled out his wand and walked over to the dementor. He said 'None of us are hiding Sirius Black under our cloaks. Go.' But the dementor wouldn't go, so he muttered something and a silvery thing shot out of his wand and the dementor glided away."

"It was horrible," George said. "Did you feel how bloody cold it got in here when it came in?"

"It felt weird," Isa mumbled. "Like I'd never be cheerful again."

"You're never cheerful," Fred said, making her crack a grin.

"Did anyone else fall out of their seats, then?" Harry asked. "Other than me and Zell?"

"No," Fred said. "Ginny was shaking madly, though..."

In the corner, Ginny took a small bite of chocolate.

"Why did I hear screaming?" Harry asked.

"Dementors Fred off of pain, misery, and sadness," I said. "I think, Harry, you heard your mother screaming while I heard the last words my mother ever spoke to me. All of us have a lot of pain. I suppose the memory of them in their worst moment snuck back to us then."

Harry sat in thought, and my uncle came back into the compartment.

"We'll be at Hogwarts in ten minutes," he said. "Are you three feeling better?"

"A bit, yes," Harry said.

I would've felt better knowing that no one knew that we fainted, but I had no such luck.

"You fainted, Potter? Black?" Malfoy asked hastily as we stepped out of the carriages. "You actually fainted? I'd Longbottom telling the truth?"

"Shove off, Malfoy."
