𝐒𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫: 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐛𝐲 𝐧𝐟

Fred and George burst into the Great Hall in front of Lee, Isa, and I, laughing and holding their flasks.

"Did you do it?" Harry asked, looking at the flasks.

"Hell yes," Fred said. "Just taken it. Zell and Isa brewed it last night."

"One drop to age a few months," George added on.

"We're going to split the thousand galleons between the three of us if one wins," Lee said. "Zell opted out."

"I'm not sure this is going to work, y'know," Hermione said. "I'm sure Dumbledore would've thought of this."

Isa shrugged and the twins and Lee ignored her.

Fred stepped over the line first.

Nothing happened.

George must've higher it was totally safe too because he stepped over too. Within the next second there was a sound of a small explosion, and the twins were on their backs near where me and Isa were standing, identical beards on their chins. Lee, Isa, and I rushed forward, laughing harder than we ever had before and holding our hands out to help them up.

"We'll it was worth a shot," Fred said, grinning.

"Yes it was," Isa said.

I leaned down to help George up and he smiled.

"I did warn you," Dumbledore's voice said from behind us, making us turn around. "I suggest you go to Madam Pomfrey. She is already tending to Miss Fawcett of Ravenclaw, and Mr Summers, of Hufflepuff. Neither of their beards are as fine as yours."

Lee and I burst out laughing even harder than before, and we led the twins to the Hospital Wing.

I decided I wouldn't take a chance putting my name in.

It seemed too complex, and I didn't want to end up with a beard, wicked they were, like Fred and George.

After the twins got sorted out, we played exploding snap and did homework all the way until the feast that night to announce the champions.

"Now," Dumbledore said, "When the champions names are called, I would ask them to please come up to the top of the hall, walk along the staff table and go through into the next chamber where they will be receiving their first instructions."

"Any second now!" Lee said excitedly.

The goblet began to spit red flames, and a piece of parchment flew out and into Dumbledore's hand.

"The champion for Durmstrang will be Viktor Krum," Dumbledore said.

I clapped loudly along with everyone else in the Great Hall. Krum stood up and went to the chamber as instructed.

Another piece of parchment fluttered out.

"The champion for Beauxbatons is Fluer Delacour!"

I clapped again, smiling at how beautiful she looked. All of the Beauxbatons girls did.

The final slip of parchment flew into Dumbledore's hand.

"The Hogwarts champion is Cedric Diggory!"

This time I didn't clap, and instead I looked away and clenched my jaw.

"Excellent," Dumbledore said. "Well we now have our three champions. I'm sure I can count upon all of you, including the remaining students of Beauxbatons and Durmstrang, to give your champions every ounce of support you can muster. By cheering you champions on, you will contribute in a very re—"

The goblet spewed more red fire, and another piece of parchment flew out, a piece that could not have possibly come out because there were only three schools, three champions per school.

Dumbledore caught the parchment, a worried expression on his face.

He looked at it and his face went pale.

He looked at us, and then fixated his eyes on me.

My heart pounding, I stared at him deeply.

And the words he spoke terrified me, and everyone in the Great Hall.
