"Look everyone! It's the champion. Got your autograph books? Better get a signature now, because I don't think she's going to be around much longer. Half of the Triwizard champions have died. How long do you reckon you're going to last, Blac? Ten minutes into the first task is my bet!"
"Go suck a troll's bottom, Gretchen," I snarled to the giggling Slytherin sixth year.
"Or what?" She asked. " Going to turn into a scary animal and hurt me?"
"I said--"
"ISA NO!"
Isa had launched herself at Gratchen. I grabbed her by her arms as she was about to punch her in the face.
"Let me at her--"
"No!" I hissed, tryin to retrain her. The Slytherins were cackling noe, and part of me wanted to let Ia break their faces.
"It's not worth it," Katie said, patting Isa's head. " They won't stop."
"It's bloody annoying," Isa snapped, sending Gretchen a rude handsign as we trudged away.
"How do you deal with it?" Katie asked.
"It is hard to reject the feeling of punching them in the face," I sighed. "But considering the amount of detentions I've got? My uncle will me on me in no time."
"They're exchanging some sort of badges..." Katie mumbled.
I couldn't stand the temptation. I whipped around and almost broke my neck in an attempt to get a look at the badges, which read, in marvelous letters "Support Cedric Diggory--the REAL Hogwarts champion."
"Like them, Black?" Draco Malfoy asked cheekily, coming over to us. " And this isn' t all they do--look!"
He pressed the badge and a gleaming green message appeared, which read, "Black stinks!"
"I'd like to wear one of those badges," I said to Isa and Katie ater we left Malfoy dumbfounded and furious. "Perphaps then people will get their heads out of the clouds and realize I'm not lying."
"Oh, just ignore them!" Isa said, shoving a Ravenclaw girl away as she whispered intently to her friend, then looked at me.
"Hey Black!"
I didn' t even turn around, and just kept walking to Charms.
"BLACK!"
"Ignore them," Katie hissed. " It's that stupid Hufflepuff girl again."
" The one who called my mother a--"
"Yes."
"Screw it," I said, taking out my wand.
I walked over to the girl and raised my wand to her.
"Oh, too scared? You have to use your wand to protect you?"
I furrowed my eyebrows in fake sympathy. "You really want to do this again? Alright, fine."
I let my wand clatter to the ground and punched her hard in the face, making bystanders roar with sounds of amusement.
I looked to my right of the courtyard and saw Professor McGonagall already tromping my way, and picked up my wand, cursing.
"Shit," I Said, running back to Isa and Katie. "I gotta go."
I pushed past them with them at my heels, and ran through the corridor until I reached Charms, were Professor Flitwick was in the middle of teaching.
Breathing heavily, o cleared my throat as Isa and Katie burst in too. "Sorry we're late Professor."
