"A toast! To Giselle Black!"

I covered my face as all the Gryffindors raised their glasses in a toast.

"Never seen anything like it!" Lee chirped.

"The most amazing spell master!" George called across the room, giving me a bear hug.

"Oh stop it," I said, looking up at him with a smile. "I-I should get going to bed—"

"You tied with Viktor Krum of all people!" Mazzy said. "Be proud!"

"I'm gonna go now," I said, laughing.

"Blimey this is HEAVY!" Lee said, taking the egg from me.

"You should open it," Fred said, taking it. "Maybe there's food in here too."

"Oh that's absurd," I said. "Besides, I'm supposed to work on the clue on my own."

"We'll we won't help you solve it," George said, making me laugh.

"Fine," I hesitated as Isa handed me the egg. I pressed my finger on the clasp and opened it.

The sound emmited was downright awful— it sounded like a very high pitched screechy wailing sound combined with someone scratching nails on a chalkboard.

"SHUT IT!" George yelled loudly, covering his ears. I immediately closed the egg and dropped it onto the couch. The entire Common Room had their hands covering their ears, and were wincing heavily.

"What WAS that?" Isa asked.

"Sounded like a Banshee," Katie said. "Maybe you've got to get past one of those next."

"But that's not even dangerous," I said, rubbing my eyes.

"Sounded like someone being tortured," Neville said, his face very pale. "You're going to have to fight the Cruciatus Curse."

December came so soon.

My classes were exhausting, and I had been procrastinating figuring out the egg clue to get my assignments done.

Professor McGonagall worried about it all. I was studying hard and preparing my study guides for the upcoming months.

"You need a break, Zell," George mentioned as we were brewing a potion. I rolled my eyes and continued chopping my roots.

"Don't we all?" I asked, tossing my roots into the situation. I stirred it clockwise and then counterclockwise, making it a brilliant pink.

"I can be a great way to take a break," George piped up, stirring the potion so carefully it was funny.

"I know," I giggled. Then I hesitated. "I do."

The bell rang, and I poured my potion into a file and gave it to Snape, and we walked to McGonagall's class.

"Sit down, quickly, quickly." McGonagall said, waving her hands as we entered.

We took a seat behind Fred and Isa, and next to Lee, who were rushing to finish their homework due next period. I quickly got mine out too, and George gave us his sheet to copy.

"Potter! Weasley! Will you pay attention?" McGonagall snapped.

She was staring angrily at Harry and Ron. I smiled and looked over.

Harry and Ron indignantly put down some of the twins rubber wands.

"Now that Potter and Weasley have been kind enough to act their age," McGonagall said, looking at them, "I have something to say to you all."
