Bex hated parties, her Capitol Victory party was nothing short of hellish. Countless people came up to her and congratulated her on winning, in other words, they were congratulating her on killing people.

Countless people asked her about Leith, her friend who died so she could live. She didn't want to talk about him, she thought about him enough. She saw him when she closed her eyes, but the Capitol people didn't care.

They didn't care about the Victors feelings only if they could have a party out of it. And Bex would come to learn that they would and could get a party out of anything.

The Capitol clothes were just as worse as the people, they itched and scratched. They were miles away from what Bex was used to in her District.

"Capitol clothes can be a bit uncomfortable can't they? Not that they put me in much of them."

Bex turned around, ready to fake a smile to entertain a Capitol person but instead she saw someone who looked her age, who definitely wasn't from the Capitol. But she recognised him all the same.

"I know you. You're the Fisher Boy, aren't you? You won a few years back." That was where she recognised the boy from, she watched him win his games.

The people from Eight didn't like to watch the games but they had to all the same. They just had the games in the background whilst they did other things.

"Actually, I prefer Finnick over Fisher Boy."

Bex raised an eyebrow, Finnick was a career she expected him to be an arrogant bastard but he didn't seem it, not yet anyway, she put out her hand, "Bex."

Finnick shook her hand, "I know who you are, button girl." Bex smiled and looked down at her necklace, if you could even call it a necklace, it was a button on a string. She had it in the games but it was important she wasn't about to change who she was, "All of Panem knows your name now."

"That's what I was scared of."

Finnick gave her a sad smile, "Can't blame them for liking your game. They watched you and your partner get close and well... you know what happened. But you had a good tactic, hide and murder. Tell me something, button. How many associates has Snow introduced you to already?"

Bex thought about it, Snow had introduced her to multiple 'friends' of his, she thought he was just introducing her to Capitol people but the look on Finnick's face told her otherwise, "Several, why?"

Finnick sighed, "Now, that's what I was scared of. Just...just be careful, please, when Snow introduces you to more of them. Be on your guard. The game hasn't ended. Not even close."

Bex nodded, taking Finnick's warning, "Alright. I'll keep an eye out. Thank you."

Snow didn't like the Victors from different Districts getting too close to each other. He should have realised that Finnick and Bex would form an alliance, one that would bring him down.

From that one party District Four and Eight had solidified their alliance. And their Tributes would align for years to come. When the 71st Games came around one more would be added into their alliance.

Johanna Mason.

Then Snow would really have to worry.
