Bex hadn't been this nervous since she went into the Games herself. When she knocked on the door she was not expecting for it to be answered by Plutarch Heavensbee of all people.

"Ah, Miss Dreesen" the man said as he opens the door a bit further so she could slip into the room. "I'm glad you could join us"

In the small room that looked like it was mainly used for meetings, Haymitch and Chaff were leaning against the tables whilst the blond man held out his hand to her.

"Plutarch Heavensbee, it's an honour to finally meet you"

"Bex Dreesen" she said as she shook his hand.

Everything in her was screaming not to trust him, he was a Gamemaker, she didn't trust them. They existed solely to cause havoc and pain on Tributes.

The mentor from Twelve was the first to speak up "Good to see you, kid. I didn't know if you'd show up, I know how you think."

That was true he did. Bex was scared, she knew what this was. What it meant. And Haymitch could see that on her face. So he stood up and moved her over to the side of the room.

"Listen. I know you're scared of Snow-"

She quickly cut him off, "I'm not scared of him. I'm scared of what he can do. What he has done, to me, to everyone."

"I know he killed your family, Reb. I do."

Bex shook her head, "He did more than that."

And in that moment she wasn't just talking about the ring, something else had gone on in the year following Bex Dreesen's win. That only two other people knew about.

Plutarch stepped forwards with his Capitol smile, "All I can say is that we have help from the outside. People who want to help us."

Bex scoffed as she looked around Haymitch at him, "Right, after you've spend your life designing arenas where kids fight to the death? Give me a break. If there's anything I've learned about the Capitol, it's that you don't see us as people. We're puppets to you, animals that are not worth any human decency"
