"I wish I could come with you." Was the first thing that Finnick had said to her when she let him into her room the morning of the expedition out of District Thirteen.
And if Bex had to be honest, she wished he was going with her as well.
"I don't know if I can." She replied as she was fiddling with her belt buckle, the suit she was given wasn't like the last one she wore, which was a good thing. This one was all black, steel-toe boots with gloves and a belt.
She was going home. Not into a warzone.
"Come here." Finnick said as he motioned forwards, Bex walked over to him and he did her belt up, "You are one of, if not, the strongest person I know. You're just going home, where you know everything and everyone. It'll be okay."
"I don't know who's there though."
Finnick nodded with a sigh, he understood that fear, "Whoever is or isn't there. It's better to know. You're not going to have me, but you'll have Blight. Use him, please." Bex nodded, "You should get going and I need to go and find Annie."
"Is she okay?" Bex asked.
"I think she likes being in the kitchen, she always was a good cook." Finnick said he put his hands on Bex's shoulder, one hand rubbing the bracelet he got her that was on her wrist, "You're just going home. Nothing to be scared of."
Bex nodded, "Exactly. I'm just going home."

When Bex walked into the hangar she saw the hovercraft, with the District Thirteen symbol on the side of it. The only other people in the hangar were the camera crew and Beetee sitting in his wheelchair by the ramp, "You venturing to Eight?" Bex asked as she walked towards the older Victor.
Beetee shook his head, "I don't think I can venture anymore." Bex gave him a sad smile, the pair never really formed a bond, but that didn't mean she didn't feel anything about his situation, it was tough, "I've made you a thing. If you're gonna be a part of Katniss' propo team, you may as well look the part."
