The days in the Capitol wasn't very eventful. Nash spent most of his time trying to keep his Tribute alive. But Bex still hadn't seen Finnick and Johanna which was putting her on edge. They needed to talk, she needed the alliance, more than she ever needed it before.
"Danai, I love you. You know I do. But this?" Bex pointed to Danai's recent designs for her tributes outfits for the parade, "I need to get these kids Sponsors. If you dress them like pin cushions, that will never happen. You can do amazing things, I've seen it. Do that."
Danai just gave her a look, "I don't tell you how to mentor do I?"
"That looks like a pin cushion."
Danai looked at her drawings then back up at Bex, "Yes it does doesn't it? Okay..." Danai then walked away, "Time crunch people!" She shouted to her 'minions', "We have three hours!"
Bex just smiled and shook her head before she spotted a familiar grey haired old lady, "Mags!" Mags stopped walking, letting Bex catch up with her, "Where's your boy? I need to find him and he is like a ghost. I see his Tribute, but not him."
Mags just smiled before somewhere behind her, "It's seems they found you, dear." a familiar laugh bubbled up. Which made Bex smile.
Bex turned around at the sound of her best friend and saw him with her other best friend, "Where the fuck have you two been?"
"Dealing with teenagers, yay us." Johanna rolled her eyes
Mags shook her head at the three of them before walking off. She was a wise lady and Bex truly cared about her.
"We doing the usual, Button?" Finnick asked
Bex nodded, "If you'll have my girl. She's got a temper but she's got fight. We don't want another Reeve, Mason and Eva situation. But we could have something here."
"We're in if you are." Johanna said, she was the last to join the alliance, having won her game a good six years after Bex and Finnick, but she fit right in anyway.
Their alliance wouldn't end at the 73rd Hunger Games.
